Tijuana mayor says running out of resources for Caravan and yet another Caravan arrives

So yet another new Caravan added to the streets of Tijuana. The Tijuana mayor has stated resources will run out within a couple of days. There are several thousand more heading to the Border.

Mexican officials a few days back stated that these Caravans are only the (tip of the iceberg.) Thousands more are coming that are not in Caravans.

Tijuana’s mayor has had enough. He’s not spending any more city funds to help the migrants and he’s calling for the arrest of the caravan’s leader.

Mayor Gastélum blames the organizers for whom he cannot identify. He said they should be held accountable. He said the leaders of the caravan should face criminal charges.
“Those are the real criminals because they're dealing with the lives of people,” he says.

"We want the caravan to go; they are invading us," said Patricia Reyes, a 62-year-old protester, hiding from the sun under an umbrella. "They should have come into Mexico correctly, legally, but they came in like animals."

"The caravans are not the problem," said Tonatiuh Guillen Lopez, who will take over as head of Mexico's National Migration Institute, known as INAMI, when the new administration takes office Dec. 1. "The issue is the movements we do not see; those who are not in the caravan, that is the big issue."
