throat ulcers attack!

My dear brothers sisters,
pls kindly advise me what to do. I had already seen a doctor regarding my throat ulcers and she prescribed me only lozenges and antibiotics. I had taken for 2 days and the ulcers still as tormenting as ever! Pls teach me how to counter these ulcers in my throat.. i really need it. I just feel like drinking tonns of SALT water as I believe that the salt will directly contact with the ulcers and will kill it(which i used to do it when i hav mouth ulcers and it works)<--so is it advisable to do it same way to my throat ulcers problem?

sigh, these throat ulcers is the most irritating torturing illness i got it so far. esp during at night, I couldn't fall asleep at all. I dono for what reason, saliva kept on coming up from my throat, forcing me to constantly swallow it. if not, it will overflow. after i swallow, there will be sharp pain in my throat, like many needles poking me.

I need all your prayers and advice plss... this is my 1st time gettin throat ulcer. And high chance it may be related to hand foot mouth disease as i can see the bottom of my foot got some red spots :/ but my 1st priority is to at least ease the pain of my throat ulcers.

Gargling with salt water is a good idea. [Make a strong solution of salt and warm water and Gargle with it two times a day or as needed]

Or take a shot of moonshine! I keep a jar of shine for just such things. My wife had been fighting a sore throat for 3 days, I finely talked her into talking a shot of moonshine before she went to bed, and the next morning her sore throat was gone.

Yes, gargling with salt water may help - but not drinking it as you suggested! Excessive salt can be harmful to you.

Take vitamin C and zinc to combat it and support healing tissues.

Definitely finish the antibiotics - it can take a few days for them to work, but always complete any course of these, (even when you think you're better and don't need to) as that prevents the resistant bugs getting hold.

And the saliva thing - yes, horrible, but it's your body trying to cleanse itself. Take a towel for your pillow and don't worry about dribbling a bit if it's easier.

Lastly, amen to the prayer, be healed throat, no pain, complete soothing and restoration in every way.

The original listerine mouthwash is also good to gargle with. Repeat gargle 2 or 3 times in a row (if you can) and it sort of numbs the pain.

Also cold drinks, ice chips or frozen icee pops may give you a bit of relief.

I've had an issue similar to this. When this happens, I've learned to sleep sitting up, leaned up against the headboard and the wall (with a ton of pillows for support). This kept the fluids from traveling through the throat too often.

It helped me, maybe it will help you a bit as well.
