Ok, I joined the research thing a while back through the University of Pennsylvania. Apparently they did these studies on happiness. You can do a google search for the phrase "authentic happiness" if you'd like to find out more.

Anywho, they tested a whole bunch of subjects in different groups (scientific sounding ain't I?). They got the groups to do various things to see if any of the things would lift their mood. One of the things that they had test subjects to do and this was the one that had the most lasting effects. It's pretty simple and that was to write down three things that went right that day.

Now I don't think that God really wants any of us to be blue and I figured that 3 things going right would most definately fall under the praise category, right? So yeah, just go ahead. Add three things that went right today and see if it makes you feel any better and then praise God for it. Come on get happy.

So three things that have gone right today:
1.) I got to take a relatively long nap.
2.) A wonderful person here on CF gave me enough blessings to dress my CF character exactly the way I wanted. She looks like me now.:D
3.) Both of my kids took their baths today with a minimal of complaining.

1. I went to the sister's prayer meeting.
2. A neighbor of the sister who had the prayer meeting at her house came to our prayer meeting too for the first time.
3. We prayed for my cousin and my daughter's half-sister who is visiting us for the first time ever and is attending our church's truth school with my dd and for some other people who the Lord is touching their lives.

Thanks guys for reminding me of my own advice. I've been feeling a little yucky lately but here are three things that have gone right today.

1.)Both kids have been really good today with no time outs all day.
2.)I got my living room pretty well strait.
3.)God has really been touching my daughter and she has gone from being very whiny and unhappy to such a happy child almost over night.

I can't say that I have been doing it each and every night but I've been doing it a good bit. And I must say that even though things aren't always perfect, I'm feeling much better in general thinking about the good things that happen. And I know these things happen because God loves me.

1.) We found my husband's keys.
2.) My husband got to go in to work later so we got to spend some time together.
3.) Both kids got up in a pretty good mood and have been playing well together.

What a great thread! And what a good way to keep your mind stayed on the positive, remembering to give God thanks by remembering all that went well.

today, three things went right for me as well:

1. My son in law was able to join us for Church (his seasonal work usually includes Sundays, and it's been a while)

2. I was able to take a meal and an apology to my neighbor (I'd been curt with her last time we'd visited), and she was relieved and thankful for the meal.

3. A good friend I've been inviting to Sunday school attended!

it really was a nice day. Thank you Jesus!

I like this thread :-D

1) I managed to find it within myself to wish my mum a happy birthday

2) I somehow managed not to burn the dook I was cooking, despite going shopping for 4 hours and accidentally leaving the oven on low..:-D

3) My dad and I didn't argue much today

Three things that have gone right today...

1) I was early to work
2) I came home and my dad was ironing. although I don't like him ironing and it will probably take him all day to do three shirts...its one less thing for me to do!
3) I didn't argue when he hinted that I should tidy up

This is for yesterday. It was one of the better days in quite some time.
1. My husband sold a car
2. The sun came out for just a little while after 10 days strait of rain.
3. We got to go out to eat for the first time in over a month.
