hmm....I don't know how old most of you are, but this was written by a teen about teens. Adults may get something from this, but I was just looking for any input at all. Thanks.
Thoughts of Despair
She spends each day deep in despair
All alone in frigid air
No one bothers to ask her why
All they ever see her do is cry
If only someone reached to her
Lent an ear for her pained words
Then maybe she wouldn't be
Drowning in disparity
She isn't pretty to this world
But look inside, she's one great girl
To you, she may not look so great
In fact, she seems quite second-rate
People seem to look right through her
Ignoring her is what slew her
Will to live and that is why
Tonight she thinks of suicide
She needs an angel in her life
To ease her through her pain and strife
All alone and fighting hard
She desperately plays her last card
The sun's gone down; she's in the dark
Her chances never seemed to stark
She silently prays for someone
To help her undo what she's done
She isn't pretty to this world
But look inside, she's one great girl
To you, she may not look so great
In fact, she seems quite second-rate
People seem to look right through her
Ignoring her is what slew her
Will to live and that is why
Tonight she thinks of suicide
If words could sum up her life
Torture, despair, pain and strife
Will someone come to her rescue
Will someone do what's long past due
Will someone reach out to her
And lend an ear to her pained words
If someone did, she wouldn't be
Drowning in disparity
Will someone realize what counts
Her precious inside, not the out
Will someone look her in the eye
And tell her that her life's a prize
Will someone take the time to see
That her precious life is so pretty
If someone's eyes catch her gaze
Instead of passing in a glaze
Her will for life will be refreshed
No longer will she think of death
