I think that there should be more fellowship. It seems to me like almost all the threads are talking about church doctrine, Ellen White, or something else along those lines... I didn't come here for that.

Does the SDA church discourage or prohibit it's memhers from using these sort of forums?

When you consider the fact that there are millions of Adventist worldwide, you would expect to see a lot more activity here.

I'm not an adventist, but I have studied the Bible with them. Their knowledge of the scriptures and spiritual insight is quite impressive. I like watching 3ABN and think that the Adventist present the gospel message in a very beautiful way. Doug Bachelor, in particular, does a wonderful job of teaching how the Old and New testaments tie together.

No, there is no prohibition against using these sorts of forums. Probably a lot of Adventists don't know about them. Also, some who were here before moved on because of some unfortunate arguing that was going on a few months ago. Now that we seem to have more civil discussions, for the most part, I wish we could get more Adventists to come on here. There should be something for everyone. Personally, I enjoy talking about theological issues while others prefer fellowship threads. Both are important.

You are right about 3ABN and Doug Batchelor.

I spend most of my time in GT or the bible study forum anymore. More discussion there.

It's not necessary, but it is nice to have our own forum. Maybe someday more Adventists will come. I guess since we don't have many people posting here regularly, they don't have much incentive to stay.

I really meant the "Traditional Seventh-day Adventist" Forum.

When it all kicked off I know all about the troubles then but it seems to have settled down now.

Yes, I agree. It seems rather unnecessary anymore to have the subforums. No one posts on them anyway, and people don't seem to be engaging in the personal attacks that led to the split in the first place. I always thought that it was pretty sad that we couldn't work out our differences and be civil to each other in spite of disagreement on some issues. Our forum wouldn't have made a good impression on any visitors, that's for sure.

Absolutely, it seems that most don't come here now so it maybe time to look at what solution can be found to fix it up.
