Really? Which is which? I bought yams in a can (for thanksgiving), and they were orange. I bought sweet potatoes in the vegetable section of the grocery store and they were also orange. The dictionary says that yams are sweet potatoes. And I always thought calling it one or the other depended on what region of the country you were from.
