  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've been browsing through the newsletters of the parish. The priest studied at Nashotah as can be read on page 19 of this newsletter:

It seems he is steering the parish in the High Church direction, which I am happy about. I live close by and think I will visit this Sunday.

Actually, the liturgy is from the 1549 Prayer Book, which is actually my favorite, and what I think all Western Rite folks (Anglicans, Roman Catholics, Old Catholics) should all be doing.

I have a soft spot for it but prefer the 1552 :)

I read the article a bit differently.

I think the Priest in Charge is saying that the parish will be SINGING a different Mass setting. Written in 1550 by John Merbecke, this setting was THE standard.

To me, the article did not imply that they were actually doing the 1549 liturgy.
