I have found a game online that really showed me how bad games can get. It is called Super Columbine Massacre RPG and I would love to hear your opinions on said game. I can give only one opinion and it is.."It is a horrible game that was intended only for shock value and as a really big FU to all the Columbine victims but I also play games like Postal 2 which is just a 1st person shooter where you go around and kill people....really no different than GTA san andreas, or manhunt.
I personally would not play this game due to the fact that P2 deals with killing characters that have no names, past family so on and so forth but SCMRPG deals with actual people who were killed in a heartless manner." I also believe in free speech/expression and even though I or maybe you do not agree, it is still free speech. Now lets not get into the debate of the creators are evil and should be lynched blah blah blah because

I do realize I made som comments in my other file serephim01 which I wish they would transfer all post rep and what not to serephim02 because I dont want 2 files....long rant lol, the comments will be found in the music or games threads I dont remember..I believe that we should not blame others for the atrocities committed by some unstable people.

EX: Columbine was blamed on DOOM and Marilyn Manson. The whole Sen. Lieberman "I want violent Videogames banned blah blah blah was to be followed by Postal 1 and 2. The Postal series was a sorta protest/joke response to the cluelssness of the people who were trying to ban these games...I dont know the whole story so whatever. I want to hear from everybody! Please no spam or hate towards other opinions...look at the quote above^^^^ Anyhoo....What do you think of the game? Why do you believe it was made? Should games like this be allowed to be produced? What other games have you seen that are really contraversial? I have a youtube link to the SCMRPG game view thingie....just watch and post your reponse K?

BTW Just go nuts on this subject please...I am doing a report for english and I need some opinions please...noone will be sited I just need some basic stuff because I am doing a paper on how violent video games affect america in college K?

I found your post very difficult to comprehend at this late hour, so I will go with what I got out of it. Delightfully, there has been a lot of talk about Postal 2 lately on this forum even though the game is a few years old. Delightfully because I was involved with the game while it was being developed, and my user name is somewhere in the STP addon.

Anyway, we had an incident when P2 came out where a group wanted to make a map of the Columbine school shooting. While I'm not opposed to school maps for P2, I really felt that map would very much be in bad taste. The game you're talking about is the same way. I find it very insulting and immoral to create a game based on something that tragic.

Sorry about my post man, I usually ramble on and on...P2 is bad but the SCM RPG dwarves it by comparison...or at least IMO...also IMO the map for P2 on columbine would have been a big no no even though they have one for DOOM 1 and 2 and HL I believe.

Hehe, it wasn't your rambling, it was just late and I was tired. So no worries.

The thing I liked about Postal 2 is that you have the choice to be murderous or not. You can go through the game without killing one person. Granted, it's very difficult, but it can be done. Or you can have the choice to only defend yourself. Frankly, I love the ability to run around just killing everyone. I took out a lot of aggression on that game.

really, there are worse things out there, things and people that mock horrible events and happenings or have no respect for the dead or greiving. Just because this is a video game doesn't make it any worse than a video clip, or a quote, or a book, or anything else.

Do a search on 'Westboro Baptist Church' and you'll find that this 'organization' promotes far more hate and disrespect than any video game can.

Another example of how video games are blamed for something than occurs daily, and is usually caused by something else we refuse to acknowledge.

I have a high tolerance for games and music that most people would find offensive.....I have this habit of researching stuff like this because I find it somewhat curious....EX: I was told never to listen to Marilyn Manson by my mom but my dad listened to KISS so he understood the whole parents forming mobs outside the concerts because they have no understanding of the music only what little info the preacher was told by his buddies brothers best friend who said KISS is evil and is the devils music....I went along with my mom blasting MM until one day I listened to Portrait of An American Family...turned to track 6 "Dopehat" I was blew away because this was the thing that was blamed for Columbine, kids turning out the way they do, hemmeroids and practically every bad thing to ever happen was to be laid on one man's shoulders. I realized you can't go by what some mob says but you have to find out for yourself. I now listen to everything from cradle of filth to Old mans child to sublime. Do I worship satan and kill things NO! I was told to stay away from DOOM and GTA but I played them anyway only to find out that they are great games that take entirely too much flak from the Mobs. I downloaded P2...I paid for it so there....It is truly a great game, violent, but fun. I may DL SCMRPG....probaly not because I would rather player FF8 or Halo or somethin.. I do find it a tad bit stupid that someone would make a game like that but you know what whocares? If Michael Moore and Tom Cruise can blast their excrement they call "Movies" in the public why cant a violent yet highly contraversial game not be allowed its 5 minutes of fame....after all its only purpose is to make people mad... There was a guy in my school of Newman Smith High that I knew who brought a gun to school because the teacher who taught class there gave him a bad grade. The kid pulled a 9 mill gun on a teacher who was pregnant with twins and lit 2 m-80s rather than shoot her. Thank God because even though she refuses to teach now it would have become a far worse situation for him. Was he playing violent video games and listening to "satanic" music.....probaly not he was just unstable and so were Eric and Dylan....You cannot blame video games or music for the attackers actions....you cannot blame the schools, you might try and blame the parents for not realizing that their kids had an arsenal of weapons in their rooms but would that get us any closer to solving why this happened? NO....blaming people or objects for tradgedies does not make things magically better. Nothing will, only prayer. God Bless....

BTW I probaly shouldnt of said that SCMRPG was a bad game without playing it first....I apoligize but the videos I watched of it were rather odd TBH...I apologize if this offended anyone because the purpose of this thread is to really find out what you all think, not start an argument.....not that one has been started but just to be safe...K?
