This is awful, please pray...

I just got off the phone with my dad. He is the manager of the security company I work for. One of the guards that works for the company died on the job tonight. He worked at the hospital in my hometown. He was making a round and opened an emergency exit to check outside, and fell into a 15 foot hole in a construction area, the exit was not marked in any way. That was at about 7 pm. When his relief showed up at 11 and couldn't find him, he and a janitor went to look for him. The janitor opened the emergency exit door and also fell into the hole breaking his ankle, and discovering the guard who had died. Please pray for this man's family and friends, his name was Roy. He was 66 years old.

I also want to thank God for protecting everyone else who has been in that hospital while this exit was unmarked (who knows how long), including my mom and her boyfriend.

Oh, how sad, Jill! I will surely lift Roy's family and friend's in prayer. And also the man who broke his ankle. I can imagine there will be some reprimands for allowing something so tragic to happen that could have been avoided. I will pray for all involved in this situation.
