• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I can't imagine it hasn't been brought up in this forum yet but just in case, "Allen Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking" is a most amazing creature.

I have had a dozen friends of mine read it and quit. I've had two friend read all but the last chapter and get scared and not finish the book (and therefore not quit).

When I got it from chapters, the woman who helped me said, "Actually, I just read that book and stopped. And hey" (she grabbed another coworker) "didn't your husband quit with 'Easy WAy to Quit Smoking?".

Basically, the book makes you realize that smoking is literally the most stupid thing you can do. It's really in your face, NO HOLDS barred.

I haven't read it but I saw how it helped a few of my friends and i bought two copies: One for my bro-in-law and one for anyone who wanted to borrow it. My bro-in-law chickened out. But a dozen of my friends have read it and quit.

READ THIS BOOK!!! Well, if you REALLY want to quit smoking, read this bok
