Matthew 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must
go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes,
and be killed, and be raised the third day.

Matthew 17:
22
Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them,
The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men,
23 and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.
And they were exceedingly sorrowful.

Matthew 20:
18
Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed
to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death,
19 and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And
on the third day He will rise again.

Luke 13:
32
And He said to them, Go, tell that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and
perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

Luke 24:
6
He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was
still in Galilee,
7 saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men,
and be crucified, and the third day rises again.
21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel.
Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.
46 Then He said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the
Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name
to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Here are a few, that might connect a little to what you are looking for, or at least could be worked into those same type of pictures.

He speaks of the third day being perfected

Luke 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

And then here it says,

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Then here, looking at God to Abraham of the Son of promise saying

Gen 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Gen 22:3 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

Gen 22:6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

Isaac asked his father Abraham saying,

Gen 22:7 ...Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

The law having shadow of the good things to come not the very image of things, prophesied until John (of whom it is said)

Mal 3:1 Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

John being that messenger

John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

Heb 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

Heb 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

Acts 10:40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

One in a figure, one shewed openly, on the third day he sees the place afar off

Gen 22:3 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

This is where Abraham said to Isaac

Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My Son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Whereas in John the Baptist, the forerunner to Jesus Christ it says,

John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

So again,

Heb 10:1 The law having shadow of the good things to come not the very image of things

Abraham offering up his only begotten son (the one of promise)

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Likewise a picture of

Rom 8:2 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

The cross of Christ, Abraham taking the wood laying it upon Isaac (His son)

Theres also the allegory of the two women of Abraham representing the two covenants, but in Isaac thy seed shall be called.

Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made acurse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree:

Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The law not being of faith and the casting out the bondwoman etc. Even though the law come later, theres an allegory of the same things shown in Abraham.

That might not be what you were looking for exactly not sure, because it shows the third day and the wood, the lamb etc. I love this sort of thing where you can find it and see Christ in them. I see through a glass darkly, but I love getting more.

This is nice work, quilting together the tapestry of the scriptures, and demonstrating
a love for the Truth. I will have to come back to this post again for meditation, for now I
am going to cut and paste it into my google docs, if that is okay with you.

Thanks, our God be blessed for ever, I'm alway searching the scripures for those sort of things. The blessing is in sharing them with others who can appreciate them whose faith can be built up by them (as imperfect as they might be).

Sure, feel free to take them, add to them and share them, I certainly dont owned any insights I receive in the scriptures.

But if I screwed them up (then I do need to own that) lol

Peace
