  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello! I just graduated from High School in June and i'm not in college...yet. What i plan on doing is going to a community college for a couple of years and then transfering to a University to join the ROTC program. Would i be hurting my progress by missing those first 2 years in the ROTC?

No, it would not hurt. ROTC programs are taking officers with as little as 1 year in ROTC. The only way it would hurt you is if you take a scholarship. If you take a scholarship of any type in college, you will be inelligible for the GI Bill, which will pay for your master's degree of advanced flying certs, or computer certs or any other professional development courses. It is up to $38,000 of funding for giving the military $100 for your first 12 months.

God bless you for thinking of serving. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or PM me. I'll try to help out in any way. I've been in for 3 years after going through 4 years of ROTC.
