This 101 things is a great idea! I'm going to try it!!

So I figured...what the hay. Why not?

So I'm writing my list. I'm at number 71.

Any suggestions? I already have 'read the Bible in a year' and 'do daily devotions' and 'memorize the catechism'.

So? any suggestions?

I can't follow up on three measly New Year's resolutions. I'd just fail every more miserably on 101 resolutions over a three-year period.

Wow, a new kitchen. Glad you guys kept busy while I was gone.

Thanks for all the prayers for my son. He is doing much better now, but has to have some tests this coming wednesday. What my son has is Epiplioc Appendigitis. The doctor at the ER we were at said he's only seen about 5 cases in his entire career, and he's in his 50's. Anyway, it was a bit scarey, and he was in a lot of pain, but the meds have helped and he's doing so much better.
Thanks again, my friends. I really appreciate your prayers. And thanks be to God for His mercy on our son.

Frequent prayer is good for us. It shows that we yearn to be with our Father. I had to give up praying on my knees a few years ago, too painful. It about broke my heart but now I feel just as good and know that He still hears my humble prayers.

Same here Synger. I gave up on resolutions years ago and have not regretted it.

Ed, my knees are giving out as well but I'm determined to be on 'em as long as possible! It's so comforting to know that God hears you no matter what isn't it?

As Latebloomer said in the Alehouse, we met on Friday. You would think that since we live about 11 miles from each other that would have happened sooner!

I was waiting to talk with the widow and give her a card that a friend had wanted me to give to her and I am approached and asked, "do I know you?'

Since this was at a funeral and there are usually many family members who are not from here, I gave my usual answer that I am the Pastor's wife.

Latebloomer then knew it is I from CF and introduced herself as LB. We had a nice chat.

Thanks for the compliments regarding the service. I shall pass them on to my hubby.

I'm so giddy I can hardly stand myself!!

Due to all sorts of concerns and medical reasons and other things, Mike and I made a big decision this weekend.

We moved the wedding date up.

To June 28th.

Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness.

I've got the nervous giggles. I can't sleep I'm so excited and I think I'm gonna plotz. *G*

And who knows, with the wedding in June, I MIGHT be able to convince Himself that our "honeymoon" could be in St Louis somewhere 'round August??? *G*

Ladies (and gents) any advice??

LOL Yeah, I'll do that.

I mean, any advice about the wedding?? It's a really really short time to be doing all the planning in, but we're not having a huge one. Just close family and close family friends (who really should be considered "family")
