Yesterday, I asked you to pray for a situation. Things are calming down at this point. I oversee the stay of excahnge students and a situation came up where a host mom wanted the student out of the house now. She is now with us until the end of next week. The thing is, there is no hard evidence the girl did what she is being accused of. Trying to sort out fact from fiction is oh so not fun.

Also, my daughter in Germany has been rather sick this week. A stomach bug that we originally thought might have been food poisoning, but now not so sure. She assured me she will go to the Dr. on Friday.

Now I have come down with a cold and I think it may be going to bronchitis.

This was suppose to be a week to relax and have some fun. No, it had to be a stressful one! I am sure God is teaching me some sort of lesson, I seem to have to learn lessons for the last few months, it is someone else's turn.

The "blond" test reminds me of what we say around here. My youngest is dyslexic and when one of us gets something turned around, we wonder if we are having a "dyslexic moment." The son is ok with our doing that.

Ah, do I have to answer that?

Not sure if it is a blond moment or a senior moment. Maybe if I sit down awhile I will remember... but then again...

A lot of those "dumb" blondes are smart enough to know how to build up big bank accounts, then there are those of us with morals.

Yeah, I'm dyslexic too. It really makes it hard when you have dyslexia with chemo brain, fibro fog AND menopause!!! I really can NOT remember anything! LOL

We used to have a friend who was notorious for that. He just couldn't hear well when there was background noise, or more than one or two people talking. Since we used to meet in a Denny's... well, you can see why there was a problem.

So we called them "Helgi-isms".

The one about someone wearing cheese on their hat is a classic. The other one I remember vividly was when he thought someone was talking about a hippo in Jell-O. Both have become catch phrases in that social group.

here's my absolute favorite blonde joke:

A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and
asks for the loan officer. She says she's going to
Europe on business for two weeks and needs to
borrow $5,000. The bank officer says the
bank will need some kind of security for the loan,
so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Rolls Royce.
The car is parked on the street in front of the
bank, she has the title and everything checks out.
The bank agrees to accept the car as collateral for
the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy
a good laugh at the blonde for using a $250,000
Rolls as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An
employee of the bank then proceeds to drive the
Rolls into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the blonde returns, repays the
$5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41.
The loan officer says, "Miss, we are very happy to
have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?"

Our new paralegal is a natural blond (and beautiful, she's 6' tall, skinny, and her mom is from Holland).

Anyway, my temp started calling her Bondie and has everyone, including the office manager, calling her that to the point where everyone has forgotten her real name. We even got the office manager to change her name sign in front of her office to "Blondie."
