My husband likes Easter lilies. We always get one then plant it outdoors later.
My dad used to raise gladiolas and dahlias. He always tells me, if in doubt, plant marigolds. My late uncle loved pansies.

My wife puts good borders around her flowers 'cause she knows I'll cut anything down with the riding lawn mower......accidently. I like grass and trees, and that's about it.........oh, and birds. I practice on the squirrels with a .22 when they are raiding the bird feeders

I love rain. I enjoy watching it rain and listening to the rain. I even like to take walks in the rain.

To keep busy, I waste time on the internet, watch netflix, cook, eat, read...stuff like that. I try not to run errands in the rain if I can help it. While I don't mind being out in it, I don't like driving in the rain.

I won't be adding anything new for the rainy day thing. My main thing in the past was cleaning my horse's tack. On rainy days when it wasn't practical to take them out (which usually required a down-pour before I'd give up), I would plug in the oil pot and clean Harness, Bridles, Saddles, etc... There's no end to that kind of thing with Horses. Harness however, has the perverse habit of hiding dirt and debris in tiny almost inaccessable nooks and crannys. Hence, a detail cleaning is required from time to time. Then it all has to be oiled afterwards with warm oil.

Now days, I just clean house and wash dishes. I tried Nana's DrizaBone coat on Annie, and it was way too big. So, the girls don't want to accompany me if I go for a walk in the rain. Almost takes all the fun out of it without the girls along.

I do so miss the horses. Even the drudgery of cleaning harness. I do hope the Lord is generous this year and allows me to get back to horses again. We shall see...

I had a horse, once...an Arabian named Romeo. I miss him.

He was proud cut, so he was constantly trying to get to the mares next door. Silly boy. He cut himself up pretty bad this one time and my ex wouldn't let me take him to the vet. I was able to talk to a vet and get some medicine and some instructions, so I fixed him up myself...cleaned his wounds and put some goopy stuff on it...something with antibiotics...and gave him penecillian shots twice a day for a week.

He was fun to ride, too. Just spirited enough to make for a fun ride.

pardon my probably-extreme ignorance, but what does "proud cut" mean? i'm not a horse person, i have zero clue what that means....

when it's rainy i like to read, or take a nap - mess around on the computer - stuff like that....

cuddling is also nice - but that will have to wait a few weeks i guess....

I'll try any of them. Weekend before last I tried Final Fantasy XIII, I didn't know what i was doing. My 5 yr old granddaughter was watching me, I kept saying I don't know what I'm doing, my granddaughter kept telling me I was winning. LOL I did beat something up.
