That was my reaction too. I thought it was a joke, and now it seems very sad for people who think like this.

The presentation is deffinetly wrong; as it stands, the post is woefully short in describing Christianity; it's like, 'how to take something completely out of context and give a wrong impression'...

Just a few things I wanna point out, as I am short on time.

No. The devil was defeated on the cross. Jesus paid a debt for us that we could not possibly pay. I believe the devil has been defeated we just have to contest and fight to take back ground in the name of Christ Jesus


'We believe that dead people are actually just sleeping.'

No, the Bible clearly states, you are either for or against Jesus, there is no middle ground. If you know Jesus you have also been raised to life with him. If you don’t know Him, it’s the second death and you go to ‘hell’. And you don’t ‘sleep’ in hell, Jesus describes it in the Bible that its better to cut of your own arm, or gouge out your own eye than go there.

I do not know where you are coming from with this post. Some are correct while others may be taken out of context. One point is that we are not a cult becuase what all cults have in common is that salvation is gained through works, where as Christianity is based on faith and works as a result. Also we are not eating the literal flesh and blood like other cults would in sacrificial ceremonies. But please let me know was this an attack against Christians or what?

yea sorry bout that. shrugz. i shouldn't post after working a long late shift. and by cult, i was just using the hyperdictionary.com definition, not the definition with negative connotations.

I just took this from the "our war is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers (etc)" verse. sorry for confusing everyone...

I just took this from when Jesus raised the dead girl, and everyone
was very sad but Jesus said "she is not dead, only sleeping". sorry
about the confusion.

I believe that the dead sleep in the ground, good and evil people. I believe they will be resurrected to eternal life or damnation.

dunno what the post was about, but we are fighting against powers and are in battle, otherwise we already won and dont need to fight. its ok to get angry sometimes, this is a deeper fellowship thread, new believers shouldnt be in here anyways i mean even so, just from what one person says hopefully wont be enough to change ones mind.

what i posted wasn't necesarily inaccurate, but it was poorly written by a sleep-deprived 24y old 5 days into his new job. maybe i'll post something similar later, better written, with more sleep, and scriptural references so it doesn't sound so blody stupid. anyway, no, i'm not trying to attack anyone. just being dumb. sorry.
