Things That Make You Go "Awwww..."

So I have been having a pretty crappy day... things haven't exactly gone my way. And I am working my butt off out here at the rec. After having to get onto some kids about rollerblading in the hall, I was walking back to the office when this little girl, couldn't have been more than 8 years old, points at me as I walk past and says "She's pretty."

That's the sweetest thing I have heard all day.

We should never underestimate the power of a compliment. So say something nice to someone today. You never know, it could just make their whole day better!

but seriously speaking.. I work at a K-8 private school and I love walking into classrooms and hearing my name yelled out... they actually call me "Captain Carlos" sometimes.. makes me laugh

a little boy in my class always tells me he's going to marry me. Here's a daily conversation between us (remember he's 6)
J: MSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. mina!!! are you single?
me: yes, J.
J: sooooo you aren't married????
me: no, J , i'm not
J: When i grow up i'm gonna marry you!!!! *giggles and tries to hold my hand*
me: but J i'm too old, when you grow up i'll be an old lady!
J: no you won't and even if you are old you will always be BEAU-ti-FUL!
then he tries to kiss my hand

his mom tells me he tells all his relatives he's in love with me
once i saw him and his mom at the store and he got all red and waved at me and would hide his face, it was so cute. J definitely makes me smile.

When my little cousin runs up to me and reaches out her arms, while she is looking straight up at me. I would post a pic, but my family would kill me ! lol. The expression on a little kids face when he catches his first fish is pretty sweet as well. It doesn't matter how big the fish is, they get like extremely stoked over it !

Yep - those are my little guys. Although, they're not so little anymore. My 6 yr old is 4' 4" and 56 lbs!
