I know, I wanted to cry when I found out....
I just got into the fandom by watching the movie last December. I've watched twice more since then, once with my younger sister who loved it.
I wanted to get a chance to really see it on stage in Broadway, but now (after 12 years) they up and decide to stop playing it when there is no freakin' chance that I will be able to see it . If there was any possible way to get from Arizona to New York to see it I would jump at the chance *sigh* I don't think that will happen though.....

edit- I just read the whole article, it seems like I might get the chance to see it someday. The closing of the play on Broadway means they will be doing more on the rode productions of the play. W00T!

No, otherwise they'd have to leave Broadway and the company would lose a lot of money.

It's by the same company that produces the Broadway show. They hire a seperate professional company to tour the States so people can see the show.

I'm very pleased that Adam and Anthony will be returning for the '09 tour. The other actors are good I'm sure, but it just wouldn't be Roger and Mark to me without those two playing in it. I'm going to get to see it twice next year. They are coming to Tempe, AZ. in May '09 and they will be touring in Tokyo, Japan all of August and by half-way through I should be moving to Kyoto for college, so I will definitely be going then as well !

I'm sure seeing it in another country will be totally different, Japanese society is so different.
