There Are Days!!

There are days and then there are days. This year in particular has had more than a few. Naturally, as a conservative, my desire is to remain optimistic about the future course of our government, and the direction we as a people are being maneuvered into. It seems that a very large segment of our citizens seen to have lost contact with the ideal of a government of the people, by the people and for the people! Doesnt a government based on those principals require a people who will follow through with their responsibilities to be involved at the ballot box, in their sphere of influence, in their community and elsewhere as the opportunity presents itself? What we seem to have become is a Nation of rule by the extreme position and minority belief.
How could that be, you ask? As my son might say, no duh! The long term effort by a certain segment of our Nation to convince people not to vote or otherwise be involved must have exceeded their wildest dreams. When this scheme started I have no idea, but that it is purposeful strategy appears readily apparent to me! Perhaps someone out there can help find the roots of this movement, but whether or not the genesis of this effort can be found, we the people are the only solution to reversing their success. One example that comes to mind is the oft repeated phrase: Never bring up religion or politics. Evidently conservatives have bought that deception hook, line and sinker. Having asked, Why any number of times I have never gotten a reasonable answer. More often than not the response is that, it makes others uncomfortable. OK, if that is so, then doesnt it make conservatives and Christians uncomfortable to be marginalized: Do liberals censor their own conversations to make sure they arent making conservatives and Christians uncomfortable? If you believe they do, go get a CAT scan to be sure there is still something inside that protuberance you wear a hat on! Have you become so open minded that your brains fell out?
Think about it, how is Christianity promoted to unbelievers by not talking about it? Well, conservatism will not be caused to spread by conservatives avoiding to possibility of offending anyone either. Look at the Bush Country colored map to refresh your memory, with so much of the nation colored red, why do the extremist liberals manage to control the direction of the rest of us? I know the answer and dont feel bad about offending so-called conservatives. Get off your lazy, cowardly, uncommitted, wishy-washy butts and speak up! If the current direction our Nation is taking continues will not everyone who doesnt take a stand at the ballot box be even more uncomfortable than hearing from someone who inspires them to at least think?
Please, go out of your way to let others know where you stand. A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero dies but one. We must begin making a difference, its not too late, things may look bleak but WE are the only hope our Nation has!!!! Havent you found yourself thinking, My God, how have things gotten so insane? A couple of appellate judges declare the Pledge of Allegiance to be unconstitutional, tag is being outlawed at public schools, man-hole covers (which by the way is an abbreviation of maintenance hole) must be called person-hole covers. Thousand of babies who have never taken a breath are murdered each day; homosexual priests are allowed to commit acts that anyone else would go to prison for, God is literally being legislated out of our Nation; all types of abhorrent groups like NAMBLA are actually being defended by the ACLU. Millions of inner city kids are consistently denied a reasonable education so that the teachers unions and the NEA will not lose power, terrorists are given rights beyond any that you or I would hope to receive, and it goes on and on!
Dont sit on your hands making the excuse; Well I couldnt make a difference anyway. Our system stands on one voter one vote, everyone counts. No matter what excuse you are forming as you read this, remember; An excuse is the skin of the truth stuffed with a lie!
How outrageous will you allow the words and actions of Daschele, Gephart, Leahey et al to be come before, as a conservative and citizen of the greatest Nation ever created, you finally raise your voice? They have no answers, no solutions, nothing positive to contribute, just never ending diatribes condemning Republicans while steering us on a course to disaster.
As I close let me throw something in for free. Earlier I wrote about a Senator from the Northeast who would like to be President. In that article I told you about his involvement in a group called the VVAW (Vietnam Veterans against the War). In that article I told you about a particular event in which he and some other Vets threw their medals (from their service in Viet Nam) away on the capitol building steps. I suppose for some this protest was a very moving experience. I know it was for me, I was angry enough to chew nails. The thought that an ex-soldier could disrespect his country like that was unbelievable. Anyway the bottom line is that the medals he threw were not even his own! So not only did this would be leader of the free world totally disrespect those of us who served our nation honorable, he found honesty beyond him in that the medals he threw were not even his own. What a country, a man who holds those who serve in such contempt as to not only throw away his medals, he is a deceiver of the highest ilk on top of it! Will this revelation ever be brought to light in the media? I guess it could on the day it snows in Phoenix on the 4th of July! Join me please turn our Nation around, its not too late!
