God's word tells us that the whole world will be wondering after the beast. To understand this we will first have to understand what the beast is.
Revelation 13:1-7 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast, which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?'' And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. And it was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.
Anyone who takes a little time to study this out will soon learn that this beast is a kingdom which represents Papal Rome. It’s a kingdom that God calls spiritual Babylon. It’s also the beast kingdom that God calls His people to come out of.
There are three ways to be part of this beast kingdom.
Revelation 14:11 The smoke of the fire that torments them will rise forever and ever, and there will be no relief day or night for those who worship the beast or its image or accept the mark of its name."
The three ways we may find ourselves worshipping this beast kingdom is by worshipping the beast itself or its image or you accept its mark.
In order to understand these things we first have to understand Babylon because God equates this beast kingdom with Babylon.
Revelation 18:1-4 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a habitation of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! "For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.'' And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
The beast of Revelation 13 is made up of the four pagan kingdoms of this world, which are found in the book of Daniel. Four animals represent these four pagan kingdoms in Daniel with the lion representing Babylon.
The composite beast in Revelation 13 is made up of the same four animals with the lion for its head. Why did God give the lion for its head? Because the main influence of this beast kingdom in Revelation 13 is Babylon with all its pagan beliefs and practices. This is why God calls it Babylon and calls His people to come out of her. Did you notice how God calls Babylon, her? That’s because Babylon is a picture of the Papal church or better yet, the Papal church is a picture of Babylon.
Now in order to understand how we come to worship the beast or its image or accepts its mark is by understanding Babylon. Why do I say this? Because this beast kingdom of Revelation 13, also known as Papal Rome, has its roots from Babylon in its beliefs and practices.
We can possess anyone one of these three forms of worshipping the beast or we can possess all three either way God calls us to come out of Babylon.

The first warning that God gives to us is He tells us not to worship the beast. To worship the beast we would have to be a member of this beast kingdom. I have spoken with many people who are very active members of the Roman Catholic Church. If you speak against the church they will defend it with a passion. They are in so deep that they can’t even see the falsehood of what they are doing. The church is everything to them. They bow down to the Pope and esteem his words over and above that of God’s word. These people are worshipping the beast and need to come out of her.
The second way we can find ourselves part of the beast is when we accept its mark. Babylon was deep into sun worship. They had a day set aside called, Sunday to worship the sun. They would gather together on Sunday to worship the sun they even called Sunday the venerable day of the sun. Papal Rome adapted this pagan practice and calls all her people to follow her direction. There is even an official statement from Papal Rome that says Sunday worship is the churches mark of authority, in other words, the Bible gives no authority to change the day of worship but since Papal Rome has changed it and everyone is obeying the church this shows she has authority over God’s word. God calls His people to come out of Babylon.
The third way we can be part of this beast kingdom is by worshiping its image. Now we will have to be very careful here because we are dealing with worship. To understand what this image is we have to go back to Babylon. What was the image in Babylon that all the people had to worship?
Daniel 3:1-6 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. And King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to gather together the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Then a herald cried aloud: "To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, "that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; "and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.''
The leader of Babylon built an image that people were to worship as God. If you didn’t worship it you would be killed. Do you remember Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego they were thrown into the fiery furnace because they refused to worship the false god of Babylon?
Now lets bring this over to modern day Babylon, Papal Rome.
In 325AD and 381AD Papal Rome erected a God they called the trinity. Papal Rome, just like Babylon said whoever does not worship this image will be killed. As a result, hundreds of millions of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Negos were murdered. The Papal church, through the crusades, burned at the stake millions of people who rejected the trinity image. These people refused to bow down and worship this god of spiritual Babylon, which was erected by Papal Rome.
There are many denominations in the world today but they all have one or all of these characteristics of worshiping the beast of Revelation 13. God is calling us to come our of her or take part in her sins.
The Jehovah Witness rejects the trinity god of Papal Rome but they have accepted its mark in Sunday worship.
Seventh Day Adventist have refused the mark of the beast as it keeps Saturday holy as God commands in His forth commandment but are we worshiping the image of the beast when we believe in the trinity God of Papal Rome?
Everything we see Babylon doing we see in Papal Rome. This is why God calls the beast kingdom of Revelation 13 Babylon. Not only does He call it Babylon, He calls it fallen Babylon.
