• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Yes it does count. For many of us, that is a very significant accomplishment, especially when we do not feel like facing the world.

Today I showered and got dressed. I also left the house for the first time in quite a few days - I went shopping with my mother to buy my brother some birthday presents. I also studied for a midterm, though I wasn't able to concentrate long enough to get a whole lot done... but a little is good, I guess.

HA! Yes I did! Got the test back today and got a 92 or 93 (can't remember which). My score for the class is now 90% so I have to keep up the studying so my grade doesn't fall to a B.

This is the first time I've gotten an A in a class due to actual effort and not natural talent or interest in the subject, so I'm pretty proud of myself. Those hours of studying paid off.

Here's hoping for 2 A's and a B (I'm not as inclined toward understanding math so I'm okay with getting a B, that's still /really/ good for me.) I got all C's and D's last semester, maybe one low B, mostly due to lack of motivation and lack of any support whatsoever.

Edit to add: The test was in Developmental Psychology, by the way. Most people find it pretty boring, I find it interesting but still have to actually study to soak it all in.

Got my hair cut. Now I just have to clean my room, clean the catbox and bird cage, and figure out where my boyfriend's gonna sleep when he comes to see me (I'd let him just sleep in my bed but he's 6'1 and it's a tiny twin loft bed. He might not fit, so I may have to set him up an air mattress)

I actually went to school today. I wrote a midterm. I didn't do very well, but considering everything that has happened in the last too weeks... I am not incredibly disappointed. The good student in me understands that I've been very ill, so that's my excuse for not getting an A.
