I've been blessed lately to study the voice of the prophet, and the confrontation between good and evil. So often I think it's easier to look at the new testament because there is not so much prophecy there. But I've been convicted in the last couple of weeks to study carefully the voice of the prophet, because Jesus talks to the current age, about the age to come. He talks about Tyre and Sidon. I wonder if there exists a tendency to downplay these because of what others will think. Fear of the world, maybe. I've forgotten in the past that the reason we were born with a sin nature is because of our human affinity to Adam. We share in his sin; he was our spokesperson when he sinned and we are linked to him in judgment through the human race. I wonder if we see the unfulfilled parts of scriptures in the OT, scriptures that were fulfilled but not ultimately yet. The scriptures that will ring true in a greater way then.
Peace to the Lord's people.
