I watched the VD Pilot episode a few days ago after a friend recommended it, and I loved it! I bought the Season 1 pass on I-Tunes, but I've only gotten to watch the first 3 episodes so far. Have you read the VD books?

I also love Twilight, although I definitely like the books more than the movies so far.

I haven't seen it yet, but my daughter has read the books and is a big fan of the show.

i absolutely love Vampire Diaries! the story is soo good. a lot of people say they stole it from twilight, but that is not true!! the vampire diaries books came out in the 90's, way before twilight. i've read the books, and their really good! they are very different from the series, but i like that because now i don't know what is going to happen
damon totally makes the show, he is the best.
Vampire Diaries is intens and surprising, and it is not 'just another vampire show'.together with pretty little liars it's the best show in the world!
and i'm sorry if my english isn't good, i'm from holland and i'm 15 years old

i luv the vampire diaries!! i luv how damon adds some light humor to the show, since he's the bad rebel one. i also like twilight, but the movies will never reach the books.

Finally the Vampire Diaries has returned. Been missing it for over a month and now that there are 2 new episodes, I haven't seen them yet.

I'm sorry, but nothing like Twilight or The Vampire Diaries will ever compare to movies like The Insatiable ,Underworld or Ultraviolet. No books like Twilight or The Vampire Diaries will compare to Anne Rice and certainly nothing can compare to Bram Stokers Dracula.

I enjoy watching The Vampire Diaries. I think the show has a unique edge that other shows don't have. It's thought-provoking, suspenseful, and alluring. What more could you ask for in a show?

I could ask for more vampires like Blade or Selene from Underworld. I could also ask that any vampire television shows made from now on to be rated TV-MA and for the rest of the vampire movies made to be rated R.
