I played video games when I was a child, and lately I've been sitting here wondering who is next in line to pick up the controller after me. I'm like, the previous generation, your ancestor now old and going out of style. I felt like I have left a legacy already. I'm like, 26 years old today, and I am wondering if there is a kid out there (like, some spry 9-year-old) who is walking in my footsteps and is just discovering how awesome video games are, and they are becoming players as well.
Like that other person that got on here and said he was a video-gamer. JUST LIKE ME! He's my gamefellow, my cardcomrade! Only I wonder how old he is...
The thought that I could be raising the up-and-coming video game generation has certainly made me feel giddy. Like as if my most prizewinning student has just graduated and spread their wings and flying!
Excuse me while I sit here and foam in ecstacy.
