Do you guys not think its a bit unfair that the Stage Crew dont get much thanks for all their hard work? i mean the Stage Manager who makes sure the whole show runs as smoothly as possible and brings all the different aspects of the show together gets a mention in the programme, not even an arm movement to the side.

i just thought i would post this to thank all those who work backstage to put on wonderful shows which we can enjoy and take for granted that the lights will work and the sound cues will be on time etc. so Thanks Guys!!!!

Here here! Our stage crew always work really hard, but unless you're in on the last night, you're not there when they're thanked... they should really be thanked every night!

(Another unsung hero- dressers! There are shows I'd never have got through without my dresser!!!)

techies are amazing...i have no idea how they manage to work the light board, and the sound board, and move everything around, and deal with egotistical actors and everything else they do all at once.....................i think we all need to have some snaps for techies...*snaps*

my best friend in the whole world (BFF!) is a stage manager and he rocks, its always good to have a fun stage manager you can goof off with when your offstage

ye it is! it depends on the cast though whether the stage manager is fun or really mean, ive been both. both were fun!!!

the stage manager for my high school play is one of the most amazing people ever, everyone loves him, and hes so cool and like the funnest person ever to be around, and he made the cast party real good so yay stage managers! lol

lol. there are two stage managers. im one, and the other is a control freak... but i supose that can be a gd thing in that job... on the other hnad, it does make everything a bit serious when it can be a laugh. o well!

yeah, for my high school musical we had two, and one was totally laid back and the other was a complete control freak but it was still fun cos theyd get into fights and wed make fun of them lol. were such nice kids.

We only had one in my most recent show (LSOH!!!) because the entire cast was a friekin stage manager, no one had hardly any stage time except for the principles. BUT the one lone stage manager we had is my bestest best friend in the whole world and me and him worked great together, so it was really easy to know what i had to - i had about a million stage props, and he was always there to help

thats really cool that your bff was the stage manager, none of my close friends are into theatre, so its fun to meet new people, but itd be cool if at least one of them was there. thats also cool that the princiaples had most of the stage time, i love the ensamble, but in once on this island its like all ensamble,and the gods just like stand on a platform the whole time, except when is their songs. but yeah. yay stage managers again, and yay all the other techies, and God hugs for all
