• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Please try this test to see if you are a good person.

Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron are obedient to call for Christians to evangelize.

This is their web site.

And what is a good person?
There is no such thing as a good person, never has been, never will be. That is from the fall to the end of the world as we know it.

Christians and nonchristians deserve hell. Only those who have Jesus Christ as their advocate will escape the wrath to come. :)

Many believe that without God the concept of morality (good and evil) is nonsensical. (I think of for example atheist philosopher Michael Onfray who argues that if God does not exist we should be free to redefine what is "moral" however we want.) On the other hand, if we posit that there are certain moral absolutes (or even a single moral absolute) then this suggests that a God of some sort must exist, since naturalistic, social, and evolutionary explanations of morality are insufficient. See for example:

Re the specific question "What is a good person?" ... please check out my little article on the subject:

Okay, what is your definition of the hypothetical good person?

So let's see here:
You asked if anyone is a good person.
But you claim that by defintion, a good person can't exist. And that no definition exists for what a good person is because they can't exist.

Do you see the massive logical contradiction you have created? You asked a question that is completely meaningless.

I could just as well ask: Is anyone a Togfar? And then declare there is no definition for what a Togfar is and that they can't exist.

Greetings in the name of Yeshua.

Your the one who is questioning.

I am simply stating there is no such thing as a good person in the eyes of God, never has been since the fall and never will be until the end of the world as we know it.

You presented a test that asked whether or not one thinks they are a good person.

You say there is no such thing as a good person and you can't define it. You are obviously working under a definition- otherwise you wouldn't be able to state whether or not it can exist. The problem is that you are using words and phrases in nonsensical ways that sound like they mean something, can mean anything but mean nothing.

Unless you can tell me what a good person is, you have no basis for also determining whether or not one has ever existed.

Your trying t justify yourself, that's pride. :)

Luk 18:10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.
Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed, 'O God, I thank you that I'm not like other people-thieves, dishonest people, adulterers, or even this tax collector.
Luk 18:12 I fast twice a week, and I give a tenth of my entire income.'
Luk 18:13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance and would not even look up to heaven. Instead, he continued to beat his chest and said, 'O God, be merciful to me, the sinner that I am!'
Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man, rather than the other, went down to his home justified. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the person who humbles himself will be exalted."
