  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The traveler.

The well warn and traveled God-way has seemingly begun to lose its attraction. Its promises are fading into history, and its safe passage for the sojourners of the world are but blurred conversation. Many begin their journey on the God-way, but deep inside their souls they are being pulled by the worldly-ways.

Long ago, God saw the crowded high-ways of men with their burdensome tolls. Man's worldly-ways littered with frustrations, crushed dreams, failures, and absurd exaggerations, all ending at the place called, "The paradise for fools."

Two thousand years ago, God paved for us a new way, straight and narrow, cleared of worldly obstructions. He planted trees to shade us from heat, living water to quench our thirst, safe places to feed, and rest our weary souls, and a guide who never sleeps. There are no tolls, all have been paid in advance. At the rest stops, He has amply supplied His storerooms with plenty of grace, hope, and love.

But dotting the God-way are side roads, built by men, guiding unsuspecting travelers to the inns of pleasure, and self-gratification. Agreeable inn-keepers promising rest, comfort, fine food and pleasure. The distracted travelers remarks, "What can it hurt if we take this short detour? we can always return to the God-way."

The travelers detour; checking in at the inn of pleasures, and promise, looking for the things advertised on their colorful bill-boards. At first, the proprietors seem friendly enough, the accommodations appear to be 5 star.

Along the God-way, more and more bill boards are springing up. They are so cunningly advertised, they seem to be a part of the God-way itself. Their gay appearance is always in viewing distance of the travelers. Billboards have become so numerous, they block the view of the wonders God had prepared for us along His way.

As the inns grow in popularity, the prices begin to increase, as the service, comfort, and pleasures diminish. New toll booths begin to spring up on the worldly-way, increasing the cost of these detours. By the time the adventures arrive at the inns of pleasure and promises, many travelers can barely afford the price of the room.

More pawn shops, hock shops, and quick fix loan establishments are springing up along the worldly-way. The new inns are being built further, and further from the God-way. The ditches along the Worldly-way have become cluttered with shattered dreams, broken promises, despair, and hopelessness.

God had put warning signs up on His road, "Danger ahead, do not detour." For the most part, they are ignored. Rumors persist about the easiness of travel to the inns of pleasure. False reports, and gossip continue concerning the easy life, romance, and riches that wait for those who journey along the worldly-way.

Most travelers after they have arrived, remain at the inns of pleasure, few returning to the God-way, and so it is. Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the truth, and the light." No man comes to the Father but by me; My way, is the only way.
