I hope nobody would give you cause toI am convinced of many things supported by evidence but now I am reminded of what AV said about casting your pearls
I have seen some good things and I have also seen fraud and people taken advantage of and have no tolerance for suchComing from you i will take this as an accurate
assassment of an experience.
I woild not be likely to take as evidence that anything
suoernatural exists.
The stats on prayer healing dont favour it really
working.
It would be terrific if it did!
You got that, huh?Haha actually he said academia but BB's avatar is a pig

I'm pleased your son's asthma went into remission. But really all you've provided as evidence of the speed it happened is your perceptions. As I said before, there are many similar anecdotes out there which, when examined critically, don't pass muster. When he got the inhalers the coach said he is the most improved player on the team. Why? Because he couldn't breathe before. There's no doubt he needed them. After he asked for prayer he never used them again. If that is asthma remission I will take that and still give thanks to God. Either way my son could breathe when he played sports after people prayed for him.

Actually I have a degree in Biblical Studies but don't consider myself as academiaAV's personal biases towards academia are longstanding and... actually, quite sad. It would be wise not to emulate them.

It's not scientific proof I asked Estrid if it would be a reason to believe. It's not proof.I am happy for your son's Asthma remission. If you want to accept that as scientific proof of God, that's your business, and you're on your own.
However, you might want to consider the unpleasant theological can of worms that such a line of thought will open up.
Yeah. Here are some other things to consider https://reasons.org/question/why-do...s-were-created-when-science-says-they-evolvedYou got that, huh?

They believe in progressive creationism. God created, it went extinct, God created more and so on and man was a special creationAre they saying all other organisms evolved? That humans almodt evolved but god did the finishing work? That nothing evolved?
That modern humans could not have evolved?

Hm, ok. Do you find that a plausible way to acclunt for
the data?
Heres an article on bird brains you might find interesting.
Bird Brains Are Far More Humanlike Than Once Thought
Despite their small brains, ravens and crows may be just as clever as chimps, research suggests: Study shows how these birds parallel great apes in motor self-regulation
Their statement about bird v chimp v human brain is false and
misleading[/QUOTE
Can evolution explain how minds work? - Nature
The mind is a powerful thing. I'm sure you've heard if you can believe it you can achieve it. I used to lift weights and I had to believe I was capable of making the lift before I attempted it. If I doubted it I would fail. If someone believes in something strongly enough it can affect them physically. If something is done by the power of the mind that doesn't necessarily negate that it was the way God chose to work.Fair enough. But such a reason still has unpleasant implications.
