  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Why are you here? People don’t come here without a reason. They come because they seek, they come because they run, and sometimes they even come because they die, but still they don’t just come. So what brings you to this dismal place, this great emptiness of body and mind? Is it fear? They killed the Baptist, chucked his head off and served it on a silver platter, or so they say. Did he see it coming? You see it coming, don’t you? They killed your mentor, and now you’re out here, doing what? Hiding? You can tell me, there’s no one else here to hear you. Confide in me and be free. Free of guilt, free of shame. Admit your weakness, and the weight of the world will no longer crush you. Share the load. I can keep a secret. You don’t have to face it, you know? People will forget you. Look how fickle they are. They flocked to the Baptist, and now they’ve all but forgotten him already. Do you think it will be any different for you? Why waste your life in the name of a lost cause, knowing that you will fail? For, you see; even if they do remember you, they will twist your message, turn it into something to build empires with. It has always been like this, and it always will be. People do not want to be free. They want priests and kings and gods, telling them what to do and how to lead their lives. The very thought of being responsible for their own decisions, and making these on their own, almost scares them to death. They want laws to constrict them, like the swaddling of a baby. They want stern authority figures to rule them, like the father of a child. What are they but infants, adrift in a world that seems awfully huge?
Are you crying? Don’t cry. It is not your fault. It is nobody’s fault. Let go of your troubles. Does it matter who you are? Who are you? “I am what I am.” But that is not an adequate answer, is it? It never was. Is that why you are here? To find answers? It’s not just fear that brings you here, or at least the fate of the Baptist is not the only thing that scares you. I know. That’s what this place is good for: to find out that you already know all the answers. All you need to do is open up. Confide in me. Our problems should be shared. It is freedom that you fear, the freedom to walk away and never look back; the freedom to turn around and face hopelessness; the freedom to choose on your own. There is no one and nothing to force you. The decision is all yours, and you cannot delegate it to anybody else. You know that it is true. You could lie to yourself, and pretend that you have no choice in the matter, but you know better than that. The choice is yours. See how uncomfortable it is, all that power? You can do anything you want, and anything you do not want, too, but whatever it is, the weight of it will last upon your shoulders – yours, an no one else’s. That’s why people will always prefer to live in chains. They comfort them. They’d rather be slaves than face the great wide open emptiness of freedom. The only power they seek is power over others, the power to rule, the power to craft new chains to shackle their subjects with. It hurts, doesn’t it? It hurts to love them. It hurts so much that you want it to stop. We all get hurt by love. But you know the answer to that problem already, don’t you? You can make it stop. You don’t have to love them. It is all up to you. Fathomless, frightening freedom.
Is that what you want for them? What if they don’t want it? They don’t. Even if they listen to you, they will not hear what you want to tell them. They will only hear what they want. So why torture yourself? Why do you care? You can see the chains that bind you, just as they bind them, and it is up to you to break them. But you cannot break theirs. Why don’t you embrace your freedom, your power? Walk away now, and be free. We can only help ourselves. Let them figure it out on their own, if they can. You cannot make any difference anyway. Most will ridicule you, be offended by you, and even hate you. And those who will follow you will still not understand.
Why don’t you listen to reason? It is madness to cling to these chains that you crafted yourself. You will perish long before your time, living a slave’s life and dying a traitor’s death. Why do you ignore it? You’re deceiving yourself, hurting yourself, killing yourself. Freedom is yours to take, not to give. Confide in me. Trust me. You know all the answers, now use them. That’s why you came here, isn’t it? Stay. Don’t go. Don’t just throw it all away like that. There’s so much you could achieve, so much to experience and to learn. Stay. Stay! STAY!
