The Subordinates- NEW rpg!
Summary:
"These men and women are the servants of this city who want to serve someone with strong moral fiber, who will do something for this city. In the inner circles of the elite and on the mouths of Mr. Wilson's friends, they are called The Subordinates. They yield from all different kinds of fields: medicine, politics, business, entertainment, the press, amongst others. Everyone who knows these guys and gals also knows that none of them are bad in a fight. But most important of all their qualities is loyalty. Each one couldn't be more loyal to Mr. Wilson and his cause. For that reason, they are his most trusted pals, his stong arm, his go-to people. They're The Subordinates, and they live to serve."
Set in modern day, "in the world's largest city" where "corruption runs deep," posters in this rpg will be members of a group of people called The Subordinates who serve the enigmatic Mr. Wilson, one of the "good guys" in the city who has in the past strove to help the citizens. In an attempt to clean up the city, the wealthy Mr. Wilson (the only trace of him people have encountered is his gentle, grandfatherlike voice) will soon run for mayor of the world's largest city. This political move attracts a lot of negative attention from the powerful "crooks" of the city, who now want to see this Mr. Wilson dead.
The Subordinates are his protection, both physically, and politically, for they work to better his public image, campaign for him, and challenge the corruption in those already in power and other who want it.
Posters may only be one of The Subordinates. Each will need an occupation (cop, actress, sports star, computer hacker, businessman, psychiatrist for example), keeping in mind that each is a very capable body gaurd. Be prepared for fights every so often, and be creative with them. No laser vision, or magic, etc. If you have a question about an ability you'd like to give your character, PLEASE ask me. Some surrealistic fighting is definitely allowed, but let's not get carried away (e.g. flying, teleporting, utter invulnerability off limits). Weapons what we have now in the modern day are allowed; thus no laser guns or anything like that. (SORRY no lightsabers
)
Please post your characters in the rpg, and after everyone (or as it seems everyone at the time) has finished, I'll start the story (we'll begin in a general meeting room where we'll get verbal instructions from Mr. Wilson). Thanks a ton for reading and I hope you enjoy!!!
ps:
Hints on your character:
1) make them vulnerable- either physically, emotionally, or morally, or a combo thereof; this makes them interesting and above all HUMAN
2) match his or her fighting style, abilities, and weaponry with his/her personality! for example, if you're a psychiatrist, you may not be so good physically in a fight, but you could have some technology like a chemical or gadget or some other means of getting into people's heads.
3) subtlety is a good thing! don't pull out all the stops at the very beginning like an effort of superstrength/speed/surrealistic fighting, etc. save it for when it is REALLY needed.
