What does the dobro look like? I have no idea what it is...

I have a bluegrass cd called "Gone Phishin: A bluegrass tribute to Phish" It is a collection of about 10 Phish songs, covered by bluegrass artists. Realllly awesome music. There is a second volume out called "Still Phishin'" but I havent gotten that one yet.

I want to get a mandolin and learn how to play it because its in so many classic Italian songs, and I love the sound it makes.

The mandolin sound is very cool. I love when a mandolinist plucks a string insanly fast back and forth, to make this really beautiful sound. That site you dropped a link to is awsome. they have a live show from a great band I love (oar) awsome stuff.

Oh yes...GOD FORBID there actually be a place for Christians to go where they don't have to constantly deal with non-believers spitting in the face of our God, His Word, His Son and His children.

The non-believers love to post in the so called Christians-only forums, too.

I'd wonder why atheists and God-haters love to come to a site called "Christian Forums", but I recall vividly being a God-hater & an atheist (& several other assorted idiocies) and I know why they come here; to antagonize Christians.

So, by all means, let's make sure they can continue to do so at will.

I'm very sorry you have this picture of non-Christians. It is my opinion that you don't have to look very far on this forum to find intelligent, reasonable, compassionate non-Christians, that would never presume to belittle your beliefs. I'd like to think that I'm one of them, sometimes.

Actually, we are not just forbidden to post there; the site doesn't allow us to. So, you are mistaken in your implication that non-Christians are posting in CO forums.

Firstly, please don't associate atheism with hating God. Atheists don't believe in God, and I've found that it's a bit hard for me to hate something that I don't think exists. Also, just because you came here to antagonize Christians when you were an atheist, that doesn't mean that that's why all non-Christians came here. I came here as a Christian, and deconverted while I was a member. I stay here as a non-Christian because I've found many wonderful people, Christian and non-Christian, that I love to discuss things with. Discussion for the sake of antagonization is something I try to steer clear of.

You know, watching this thread without being able to speak up was one of the most frustrating moments I've had as a member here

Looking over it again, the distrust so many people seem to have with the non-Christians of this site still amazes me. It has been my experience that they are for the most part wonderful human beings.

I wonder how many non-christians actually post in this forum. probably a handful. I can only think of 3 off the top of my head

Hahaha I'd like to think that that wasn't what the move was really about. Looking over the thread again, I'm glad Larry was around to make that clear. Where is Larry, by the way? He advocated to have the forum the way it is now, and now he can't enjoy the fruit of his labor.

But whatever, we have a cool forum now! My fears were not realized and I am happy!
