The soul is in the blood, it is not eternal... It is the movie reel, or video tape of your earthly life and existence... Each nanosecond, is like an individual frame on a movie reel. It contains all your experiences, even every thought, and everything you said and did during your earthly life...
Which none, not one of us can remember or recall (correctly or accurately) right now in our existence here. It contains the key to our true identity, the record of our life, all of our growth through our development by our experiences here. In heaven, we'll get to review all of it, and our true identity of all of how became to be who we are through it. We'll not only know who we are, but how and why we came to be who we are by it's finish and ending.
The spirit is eternal, not the soul. When Jesus came back from the dead to visit people in his glorified body, it had a kind or type of flesh, but no blood. Abel's blood, when he was killed, it says that his blood, over the injustice of his life, the injustice of his brother Cain slaying him, cried out to God from the ground over the injustice, crying out to God to rectify the situation or make it right. The souls of those slain due to their faith are said to crying out to God (in revelation) for the same reason. And, Christ's own blood being the largest and greatest voice crying out to God the Father for justice and to "make it right" of them all, being the greatest injustice of them all.
God did, will and does, and has a ultimate plan and purpose to make it all "right" and justified, but, in time, cause it does and will take time. It also happens in steps and stages as a part of a process. One of the very first steps, started with Christ and the saving of these souls and granting them the reward of, when they die, resurrecting them to go be in heaven with him in his kingdom. That was one first step in making it right. What other steps in between, I do not know. But, will be complete when this world becomes like their world, when their is set up God's kingdom on earth.
God Bless!
