Hi Shep... Optimax touched on it back in October with his thread "The Rapture, The Way I see it." In a nutshell, if my memory serves me right, Charles Capps suggests that there will be a brief period (40) days before the pre-trib rapture, that we will not be taken up "immediately," but we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye and receive our glorified bodies and walk and minister on the earth as "Manifested Sons of God," (MSOG). (See my signature scriptures below this post.) Capps and others that are like-minded, say that our bodies will be glorified and identical to what Jesus had after his resurrection, and before his Ascension to heaven. After the resurrection, Jesus continued to teach the disciples in that 40 day period on the Kingdom of God. None of them performed any healing miracles, or any other miracles during that time except that Jesus did walk through doors or walls among some other things he did... Capps says the many miracles that Jesus did and the many other miracles that were done in the Book of Acts by the Apostles are to return many fold, and is preserved for us in this 40 day period before the rapture when we receive our glorified bodies, and be as manifested sons of God. They believe that during this time, the church will finally be in the unity of the faith. (Eph-4:13) After the 40 days of supernatural ministering of (John 14:12 )"Greater works"... then the rapture happens. I have heard others such as Copeland, Creflo, Winston, Wolmack, Moore, Duplantis, and could name several more that are teaching along these lines.
This end time manifestation of the Sons of God is not to be confused with the latter day Dominion Theology, or the (NAR) Group that (most) do not believe in the pre-tribulation rapture. This NAR Group (New Apostolic Reformation), which consists of dozens of sub-groups such as their version of the Manifestation of the Sons of God, (MSOG) along with their many other groups, in which some of them believe that they will also have glorified bodies and be a part of the end time Joel's Army that is destined to go through the (7) year tribulation and be an end time, militant and victorious church with signs and wonders that will take over the world and defeat Satan's hoards along with the anti-Christ and set up the millennial 1000 year reign, and then Jesus will return. Most of us believe that Jesus will do this and set up His Kingdom for us, as the bride of Christ. The majority, if not all of them believe that they will do it and set it up for Jesus.
As you can see, it's hard to share a little in what Capps and others are teaching about this... I do lean slightly towards Capp's teaching with an open mind, however... having a little proplem with the (40) days though, along with our glorification. Since Jesus walked on earth 3.5 years, maybe there's something there, but then again, Jesus was not glorified during that time, as God-man, all He used was the "fullness" of the WORD, and we may have a period before the rapture of the "fullness" of the WORD to be manifested, so why do we need to be glorified..? and I have no leanings toward Dominion Theology, none whatsoever... I hope this helps... Just my thoughts...
