Other so I guess I gotta say why… I hate it! I had the first box when it came out and wound up giving it away. It was way to simplistic and had no option to be played online. Very few games hold my interest unless I can play it with someone else. True, then there was the sims online but I heard the game was a flop and the community a very strange one to say the least.

As for the witchcraft, homosexuality, premarital sex… well I have not been keeping up with the Sims franchise but I’m not surprised at all that it has all that stuff in it. I recall the creator of the sims being criticized for a homosexual depiction in another sim game some years ago.

At the end of the day when it comes down to playing the sims, it depends what's in your heart and how you rule the sims lives.
I have churches and ministers in my city and can see no harm in that.
The only problem i have with it, is that i was taking care so much of my virtual family i was negleting my real family!
If people make their sims live a hedonistic and depraved life then i understand why some people would be against it, but remeber its the person who decides what happens in their cities. The makers of the game put in all kinds of play modes as they want to sell the game to as many people possible!

Playing real-life games like the Sims makes you think it gives you a better understanding of life, but in reality it only gives you entertainment so therefore it is not exactly the same of real life. No matter how convincing it is, simulation games are always somehow different from real life. Otherwise, it wouldn't be so entertaining.

Well, that is my view, at least.
