The Sims for PS2

I'm not sure if anyone here plays this, but I am having trouble on one of the levels. On level 3 in get a life mode you have to complete a number of goals and then move out with one of mimi's friends during a party. I have thrown probably 5 parties, and cannot get anyone to be my roommate. I am good friends with at least 5 of the people who come to the parties. The response I get is "I can't live with someone who has a house like this." I'm not sure if that means my house is too messy or if it isn't cool enough. I have already satisfied the "upgrade your abode" goal. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have that game and I made it all the way to the highest career(astronaunt for the military career track).

I had some trouble at that point too. Basically you have to have a clean house(hire a maid), and get some cool furniture. A new TV, toilet, shower, possibly a hot tub will do the trick.

Can someone please explain to me what everyone's attraction to the Sims is about? I have a friend who owns all the games. I played it once and I think it was almost as much fun as watching paint dry on a wall.

To me the Sims is a reality game (not really - but tries), and it's just a thing for people to do to just get out of our lives. I mean, getting promotions in jobs for just upgrading our "charisma". Dude! That's cool. Wish that would happen in real life.

I don't know. It appeals to some people and others it don't. I just know that it can be addictive cos I'm always trying to get a better house and a better job. Hmm... sounds like what I'm doing in real life.

I personally enjoyed building houses more than actually playing with the Sims. My wife plays the game sometimes and has populated her neighborhood with people who reflect our friends in real-life.

If you have gained all the skills needed for your promotion, make sure that you have enough friends. The higher you get in your career the more friends you need. Also you need to go to work in a good mood in order to get promoted.
