Anyone here play The Sims 4? How about The Sims 3, or 1 and 2??? ^_^

Hi, iluvtheSims. Me lubs the Sims, too! My hubby got me stuck on them when we first met. He started way back with the Sims 1, which we still have. We loved Sims 2 and I reckon that was my favorite. We've got Sims 3 and play that alot. As for #4.....I don't think from what I've read that I want to go to the expense of getting it. From what I've read, the major difference is the Sim creating thingie being more detailed and advanced. And I didn't like what I read about not seeing the whole town. I do like that about 3. Oh, and I love Medieval Sims heaps and heaps and heaps.

Thanks for your reply.
I have played all 4, and hands down I'd say #4 is the best IMO, with #3 up next. I still have #3 on my PC for now, but once I started playing #4 I haven't been back really since.

Cool! About the only good thing I've read in reviews is about the Sim creating thingie being so much better. What else do you like about it as compared to 3? Maybe I should talk to actual players more instead listening to gaming mags & sites.

I preferred Sims 2 because of the large number of hacks, mods, and user content.

I absolutely agree with that. There were heaps of sites with mods. Loved searching for new items to download. But I think I like driving or walking around the whole town enough to bypass all the mods for 2. I do wish the mods for 3 were as good.

The last 'Sims' game/expansion I bought was in 2003. I was huge into the first one, got all the expansion packs, used to download custom items and skins off the internet...and yet I somehow didn't make the move to 'Sims 2'. Or 'Sims 3'. I didn't even know there was a 'Sims 4'.

It's been a while since I booted up 'The Sims', but every now and then I still find myself revving up 'Sim City 2000', which is still incredibly playable and addicting in its 20th year.

I still love Sims 2 to death and it's still my preferred Sims game. Yes, the graphics are basic compared to Sims 4, but in my opinion it's still the superior game especially when it comes to building and custom content.

I have tried Sims 4 a few times but only found the building and gameplay confusing. The only thing I liked about it was that you could customize and play around with your character's physical appearance and ethnicity.

So I'm not really missing out then? I still have the sims 3 on my computer. One of the best part of the game is building the houses. That's one of my favorite things to do on the sims.
I don't personally think you're missing out, but I'm sure there are those who would say that you are. Everyone has different game preferences. :) Sure, Sims 4 has lovely curved porches and really flexible roof options, but for me the cons still outweigh the pros.
