The Sewing Thread!

I was sitting here, browsing through CF and had a thought. What fun would it be to have a thread where all of us sewing people could post pictures of our projects and/or ask/give advice! Yes? No?

I'm a seamstress, though I have put away the machines for the past two years due to life and needing to focus solely on other things. I am going to be sewing again starting this month and hopefully through the summer.

I have a bunch of baby items to sew this month, due to a baby shower. I'm looking at doing a few diapers, a sling, a wrap, and I'm making a clock style reminder bracelet. This is a first time mama, so anything and everything is needed LOL!

... would you teach me? Lol! I'm a total amateur, I've kind of taught myself. While my things are far from perfect, though, I'm happy enough with them. I think eventually I may want to go to school to learn how to sew for real.

So since this thread was my idea, I though I probably should post some pictures of my stuff, huh?

This is a dress that I actually made from another dress that I never wore (the white with red print part: the solid red is just cotton). I'm actually making a second dress with the same material as a more formal kind of dress, but I'm nowhere near finished, lol. (And I'm really sorry about the bad picture quality, but my husband isn't the greatest at taking pictures, lol) I didn't use a pattern. I just pieced it together on my dress form (which I made out of duct tape!) until I liked it, lol.

I would love to be able to sew. At school I was ignored in sewing class. I must admit I am really nervous of electric sewing machines.
