I was talking about this with a transitional deacon seminarian who will be ordained this summer to the priesthood. For Catholics I did not know that if too much water is added to the wine at Mass it will invalidate the matter used for mass. He told me this interesting thing. Funny thing is shortly after first hearing about this I came across this article from Fr. Z ( a priest I love). They even have a tiny spoon for those few priest who use little wine at mass to make sure invalidation does not happen. Here is the article. Did I mention I love Fr. Z?
