There was a young girl named Kerry who had contracted a rare disease. Doctors told her parents that there was no know cure unless they could find someone with the same antibodies she needed to live. With this transfusion, Kerry would have a good chance for survival.

It was found that Kerry's little brother had the same antibodies. The parents spoke with their son, telling him, “Your sister is very sick, she needs your help.” The little boy asked, "But what can I do for her?"

They explained to him, “Kerry needs your blood.” The little boy quickly replied, "If it will save my sister, I will give her whatever it takes because I love her very much." At that moment, no parent would have been more proud of their child.

The parents immediately called the hospital, making arrangements for the procedure to take place. The day of the transfusion, the hospital staff prepared Kerry and her little brother.

Kerry was lying down on a table with her brother alongside. The little boy looked at his sister and said, "The doctor said your going to get well soon, I want to help you live."

The blood transfusion began; and almost immediately her cheeks began to show a rosy color. It was apparent the transfusion was going to be a success.

Soon after, as the little boy lay in bed, he turned to the doctor, "Can I ask you something doctor?" The doctor went over to him, took his little hand and said, "of course you can son." As tears welling up in the boy’s eyes he asked, "How long will it be before I die?"

The youngster by his own understanding thought he had to give his life in order to save his sister. Even without a proper understanding, he never hesitated. Without limits, or restrictions, he had come for one purpose only; to save his sister!

This is what Christ has done for us. He gave His life in order that we may live. Without setting limits, and conditions, He gave all He possessed. Having full knowledge of the pain, and suffering he was to endure, and physical death would be the result. He unlike the little boy, did have a full understanding, yet He came, and gave life His life for each and every one of us.

In every home, every building, there are support walls; remove one, and the structure collapses. Christianity has four walls that support God's temple; the first is the Father, the second is the Son, the third is the Holy Spirit, and the forth is the men and women who have/will sacrifice all they have so others may live.
