  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

2 Peter 1:
12
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things,
though you know them, and are established in the present truth.
13 Yes I think it is right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you
in remembrance.

Few seem to acknowledge this common fact of humanity. We forget. Not that our
past lessons and revelations are forgotten, but are stored away, and can be used
by the Holy Spirit for our edification.

John 14:26.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name,
He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

One of my most powerful remembrances from the Holy Spirit came during a time of
great turmoil in my life in my mid-40's. I was crying out to the Lord, and He visited
me and brought me in visions of the Spirit to the time I made the commitment to
serve the Lord at age 12. I literally and fully experienced all the excitement, the youthful
zeal I felt, even the presence of other people who were involved. Of course, in a matter
of just a couple of years I set off on a 20 year journey into the wilderness of the world.
Praise God for bringing me back in 1990 into His One Fold, and for His One Shepherd Jesus Christ His only begotten Son.
