I found that article very poorly written. Aside from the example verses not showing even the slightest signs of being 'pro-gay' (and I mean not even the tiniest bit) so I don't even know what their problem is, but there are no real references, no real arguments, just sensationalist dreck. They should be ashamed to call themselves journalists.

Sorry, I think it's a website that has many editors. almost like a wiki. I just saw this on FaceBook thought it might be interesting to post here.

I really can't appreciate this idea at all. I mean, I absolutely hate this. And I'm gay. This just perpetuates to the wider Christian community that LGBTQ Christians want to change our entire religion around to fit the way they want to live.

We all sin. The bible mentions many faults that heterosexuals share with homosexuals. The fact that the Bible mentions homosexuality as sinful several times is no reason to change the entire Bible.

This is like people who are in open sexual relationships taking out the references to adultery. Or people who are universalists taking out Christ's words that He alone is the Word, the Truth, and the Light.

Also, does no one pay attention to the last verse of the Bible?! I'm absolutely astounded, as so many people who think they can just churn out their own version of the Gospel often forget this...

Rev. 22:18 "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book; if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away the person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

I dislike the name of it greatly. It makes a joke out of everything. As far as another translation being written, I have no problem with that. Every Bible out there is a translation that man made.

That's an atheist argument and popular one too. If Scripture can be tampered with and accepted to conform to man's agenda.... as seen here then they stand a case... I'm interested only in seeing how this progresses from this point of view, that is, whether popularity can ultimately tamper with the truth and gain majority bias over it.

I also agree about the name. Regardless if it's true or not what they claim about King James' lifestyle, I feel it disrespects the translators who were inspired by the Holy Spirit to make the KJV 1769. And I'm not even too keen on any KJV.

It's pretty well accepted that people are fallible, and even when inspired by the Spirit they make type-os. Look at renaissance sculptures of Moses and ask yourself why he has horns. Humans making a mistake does nothing to diminish the Word.

I didn't mean that as a negative comment toward you, and no apologies needed. I just found it to be a really ridiculous article.:)
