The video footage of the January 6th rioting at the Capital Building, was shocking
to many (probably to most) Americans.
But the persistent attempt by Trump to redefine this violent rioting as a "beautiful
day" and a "day of love", is simply lying.
The violent rioters at the Capital Building were BYPASSING the due process of the
fair rule of law in America, and they were trying to take the law into their own hands.
This is the opposite of being for "law and order", and American Christians should not
lose sight of this.
Reality, is NOT whatever is repeated over and over again, on social media sites.
What is TRUE, is not determined by popular surveys. (This is the ad populam
logical fallacy.)
To date, although some individuals have been convicted of crimes that they
commited on January 6th, there has been no fixing of blame on those who
controlled the social media algorithms that were used to promote lies, over
and over again.
This should concern all Christians, who live in America.
For Christians, this topic should be a moral-ethical one, and not a political position.
(This is why I do not consider this to be a political post.)
