The Paradigm by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn

About the Book

Is it possible that this ancient paradigm has determined and is determining not only the American presidency but also the timing of current events, in some cases even down to the exact dates?

Could a mystery from the ancient Middle East have foretold the course of current events more accurately than any poll or pundit?

Could the ancient paradigm have pinpointed the exact date of the 9/11 attacks before anyone had any idea? Could the paradigm have determined the exact years of Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Osama bin Laden, Donald Trump, and others?

And what does the ancient paradigm say about what is yet to come—our future? Could the paradigm even contain a warning critical for this hour and crucial for all to hear?

Be prepared to never see the world in the same way again. The Paradigm contains a revelation that will challenge your very understanding of the issues we face today.

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NKJ), “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done and there is nothing new under the sun.” This verse speaks to patterns, models or templates, which defines what a paradigm is.

I have the book, but I haven't read it yet. I'm just finishing Unearthing the Lost World of the Cloudeaters by Tom Horn and Stephen Quayle. What do you think of Rabbi Cahn's book?
I have not read it, but it sounds interesting. I heard about on a Christian talk show. I was hoping someone here at CF has read it already.

My wife and I saw Jonathan Cahn on Prophecy Watch (I think) and were impressed by him and what he said about his new book. I look forward to reading it in the not too distant future. If you haven't read it by the time I do, maybe a few weeks, I'll certainly give you my take on it on this thread. There's a book by Josh Peck called Disclosure that I might read first.

I believe in free will. While there may be certain laws God has given which guide the universe, within that framework we make our own choices. This is why God can hold us responsible.
Yes there is free will, but there is also divine intervention.

I am a former 5-point Calvinist. The Holy Spirit has shown me the errors in my thought processes and I am now a free will believer and advocate. That doesn't mean God cannot harden someone's heart.

This is true, while we must remember that HaShem's ways are higher than ours and even though he gave us free will He also has planed things so that it is fair for all generations.

If it were just about free will he wouldn't have bothered to give us his word and within it show us patterns and repeats and deeper things like the torah codes.

I believe divine intervention happens when God knowing the end from the beginning, steps in, not to stop the free will actions of the individual but to intercede with help over something that the conclusion is not where the individual would go if they had known.

Mystery of the Shemitah

OK I was thinking of doing a thread on this guy but decided to first check out what was already on the board. I like much of what he says but got to throw in a complaint on the Shemitah stuff. There was an old Gary Larson, "Far Side" Cartoon, that describes the Shemitah stuff in 2015. It shows a guy at an archery range missing the obvious targets but taking out a paint brush and painting bulls eyes around the missed shots.

And that really happened in 2015.... There was an economic kerfuffle of stalks loosing a lot of money a few months before anniversary of the last Shemitah that looked very very promising. But the big expected event didn't happen. There was a big event that happened in China which was interpreted as it, but that doesn't really follow the logic of the Harbinger if you pay attention to it as far as "America, like Israel is a called nation" etc. etc.

Now Cahn like many folks in the "Prophetic" end of the Charismatic movement began hedging his bets on things, urging caution etc when that day was around the corner back then. But it ends up being essentially like talking "out of two sides of your mouth", "having your cake and eating it too" etc. Because there is a lot of sensationalism with this message. I don't doubt that there is a some kind of Shemitah pattern of things, but it seems like this is greatly overstated.
