Professors talk about how valuable evolution thoery is for explaining and teaching things like Biology. They say they don't know how they would teach if they did not have the theory. The only problem is, the theory is wrong and they are not teaching the truth.

Of course as time goes on and they learn more about the function of DNA, they will see that God programed it all into the different species from the beginning. After all the Bible says that God knows the end from the beginning. Just like the information is there in the DNA for the beginning and the end of the individuals life, the information is there for the beginning to the end of the entire species. That is why change can take place so quickly. Mutations would just take to long. When the conditions change the species are able to adjust and adapt fairly quickly to the new conditions. IF they had to wait for a mutation, it would never happen.

Then why do so many species go extinct?

I think John means to say that god decides which species gets to be extinct and which don't.
Apparently the dodo's weren't able to get god's blessing quickly enough or were excluded from his blessing.

Why are we made out of "star dust"? Something has to die in order for something else to live. If a star had not gone "extinct" we would not be alive today.

Physicist Finds Out Why "We Are Stardust..."http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/1999/06/990625080416.htm

When Joni Mitchell, in her song "Woodstock," sang, "We are stardust..." she was being factual as well as poetic. Every element on earth, except for the lightest, was created in the heart of some massive star.

1 Cor. 15:35-49
But someone will say, "How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?" [36] Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. [37] And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain--perhaps wheat or some other grain. [38] But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body. [39] All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds. [40] There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. [41] There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. [42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. [43] It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. [44] It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. [45] And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. [46] However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. [47] The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. [48] As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. [49] And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

So... evolutionary theory is wrong, yet scientists continue to use it in practical applications like comparative genomics (which includes private sector companies).

Those silly, silly scientists... :p

(And meanwhile, creationists keep crying how faulty evolutionary theory is, yet none have ever offered a replacement that can be applied on the level that evolutionary theory has. Or to quote my sig, "Creationism has not made a single contribution to agriculture, medicine, conservation, forestry, pathology, or any other applied area of biology". Go creationism.)

Like Dannager said, according to the evidence for Evolution, you post is 100% wrong.

Unless you'd care to back up your claims with some resources/evidence? Or shall we just chalk this up as anohter post you refuse to support?

Oh no evolution is wrong!
It has too be, a retired carpenter with a reading comprehension problem from possum ridge Ohio says so. We all know that in Science the TOE has the special status of being subject to the uninformed, subjective, and novice opinions of every Tom, Dick, and Harry that cares to take a shot at it. Thank the gods for you John, no one ever would have come up with this amazing God hypothesis of Genetic programming with out you. I think I hear the Nobel committee convening to give you your award.

Would you care to explain how God Programmed HLA gene loci in humans that have literally hundreds of alleles? This starting with two diploid humans (Adam and Eve) that could, at most, carry a total of four allele variants between them?

For example:

HLA Class....HLA-loci........No. of alleles
Class I........HLA-A...........250
Class I........HLA-B.......... 490
Class I........HLA-C...........119
Class II.......HLA-DRB1.....315

I refuse to be told I am wrong by somebody who cannot use the correct "you're".

your
adj. The possessive form of you.
Used as a modifier before a noun: your boots; your accomplishments.

A person's; one's: The light switch is on your right.
Informal. Used with little or no sense of possession to indicate a type familiar to the listener: your basic three-story frame house.

lol. And I suppose this assertion is based on evidence and not biblical interpretation and/or wishful thinking? Then whip it out.

The Bible and DNA research confirms that Adam and Eve are a recent common ancestor for the Hebrew and the Arab nations. This covers the last 6,000 years of history.

Francis Collins in his book "The Language of God" says on pg 207: "the Bible texts themselves seem to suggest that there were other humans present at the same time that Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden. Otherwise, where did Cain's wife, mentioned only after he left Eden to live in the land of Nod (Genesis 1:16-17) come from?"

It would appear that the humans are made up of more than just one man and one women in the last 6,000 years. The Bible is just the history of the Hebrew & Arab people. Not the "gentiles" or non semetic people.

I do not think anyone would deny the scientific research that indicates that the semetics share a common ancestor form the same time and the same location that the Bible indicates. Around what is now Syria where we find the worlds oldest cities, the beginning of farming, the beginning of the use of metal and the list goes on and on all the things that began in this part of the world at this time, just as the Bible tells us is all did.

Bryan Sykes in his book "The seven daughters of eve" shows how farming spread out to the rest of the world from Eden or what science calls Syria.

That is why change can take place so quickly. Mutations would just take to long. When the conditions change the species are able to adjust and adapt fairly quickly to the new conditions. IF they had to wait for a mutation, it would never happen.

Please read up on the Luria-Delbruck fluctuation assay done in 1943 (read here). You will find that the experiment starts with a single bacterium devoid of the mutations necessary for phage resistance. As the bacteria multiplies errors occur in DNA replication which results in a phage resistant phenotype. This mutation occurs before the bacteria are ever exposed to the phage. Classic example of adaptation through random mutations.

It is based on lack of evidence on the part of science. I would be glad to look at their evidence for their mutation theory if they had any, but they do not have any. We are what we are because of genetics, not because of mutations.
