"If you had comprehended what I said, you wouldn't be saying what you're saying. Christ's return have no bearing on what the prophecy says. So, whether you believe 2,000yrs has passed and Christ haven't returned yet has no bearing on the fact the prophecy said his return and his kingdom were "nigh" and "at hand. Christ coming with power and glory does not affect what the prophecy dictates"

A big disconnect of convience above .... to disconnect the Lord from His prophets is folly of a man [2 Peter 1:16-21]

A blasphemous fable of human depravity, and especially coming from one who claims to be His follower

The confusion always comes from ignoring one of the two questions asked by the disciples.

Mat 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
Mat 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, 1.when shall these things be? and 2.what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

The first half of Matthew chapter 24 answers the first question concerning the temple stones.
It is filled with signs that they were to look for to tell them the timing of the destruction of the temple.
In Luke's version they are told that it will come when Jerusalem is surrounded by armies.

In the second half of Matthew chapter 24, they are given general signs that will occur at the time of the "parousia", which is the bodily Second Coming of Christ.
Jesus said He did not even know the exact timing.
Then we have a description of those "taken" and "left behind", which is a parallel of the parable of the Wheat and Tares, where the tares are gathered first and burned in the fire, while the wheat is left behind to be gathered into the barn.
The "taken" are destroyed, just like those taken by the flood.

You are missing the point, putting the cart before the horse, again.

Whether you think the prophecies aren't fulfilled yet or not have nothing to do with the facts pointed out. The prophecy specifically points to the tribulation after the temple and city destruction followed "immediately" by Christ's return. You can't disregard these facts which is what I meant by foundation facts. You have to build from the ground up from these facts or else you're going to misinterpret what's being said.

The world from then to now have been waiting for Christ return because of the foundation facts. Even the NT generation did because of the foundation facts. The foundation facts are what you have to base your interpretation on to get the correct interpretation.

The question now is why is the prophecy worded the way it is? And the answer is because of Dan 7 and Revelation's account of events, which is being factual. Dan 7:11 being Rev 19:20 proves the prophecies were fulfilled during the days to the Roman kings/horns and at the end of the tribulation. And since our world is still going, it can only mean it was fulfilled in heaven at time of the end of the great tribulation - heavenly and earthly events intertwining.

That reasoning above is absolutely way... out... in left field, and not in the context of those Scriptures at all!

The Luke 17:37 answer by Jesus is linked to its parallel in Matthew 24:28. Those in Christ Jesus DO NOT FLEE, but keep grinding at the mill (i.e., working for Jesus til He comes).

That is what I would think, except for the fact that Jesus mentions "as in the days of Noah" in those 2 chapters.
I will have to study up on Luke 17 when I have time.
Thanks for bringing that up......

Matthew 24:

38 “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39 “and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Luke 17:
26 “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:
27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
and the flood came and destroyed them all.
