The Official Pokémon is not evil thread!
Well I am a big Pokémon Lover of over 8 years
you can ask me anything about Pokémon any conserns why you might think its evil, ect. I have never come to question I can not answer. This is clearly because Pokémon is not evil.
here are some things Ive seen in the past.
Pokémon does not mean pocket devil or pocket demon or anything like that.
pokémon= POKEt MONsters Pokemon is short for pocket monsters it was never suppost to be deciving, in Japan they say at the beggining of every pokmon movie "the world of pocket monsters or for short pokemon" of course in Japanese I roughly translated.
Monsters: well some people dont like the fact they are called Monsters hoever in the pokemon movie at the beggining right after they say that pocket monsters is for short pokemon that these monsters are the pokemons world's ANIMALS. they are not like some scary demon type monsters or any hell spawn. We all seen pikachu he is so cute! Pikachu Hell Spawn I highly doubt it!
Some people think Pokemon do not die:
They do, there are pokemon grave yards at mt pyre and at lavender town.
Latios Died in Movie 5.
Evolution: people claim pokemon teachs evolution they do call it evolution, but the term evolution can also be defined as change. All things change and grow up like humans and such pokemon grow up too.
Caterpie"evolves to"->Metapod"evolves to"->Butterfree
Catipillar-> Pod Stage-> Butterfly
same basic idea, actually it is the same idea.
Psychic Pokemon/Dark Pokemon
Some people don't like the Psychic and Dark Pokemon.
Dark Pokemon Most pokemon have dark fur and the attacks they do like shadowball is a black ball. In one episode a Houndoom that many christians dont like because it is like the three headed dog that gards hell in Dantes Inferno. But Houndoom only has one heas and saved Topgepis Life in the cartoon, that is not evil.. In Japanese there is a clear difference between Dark (YAMI) and EVIL (SET) in the US we associate dark and evil closely.
Psychic Pokemon Many christians I know are ok with Pokemon but dont like the eye symbol for psychic. However in modern science there are people including christians who can manipulate items with their brians and people who do have esp. it is a major birth "defect" however. If you don't believe this well Pokemon have special abilities and this is their special gift they can do there is nothing wrong if they were born with it and did nothing to get it from. Some people just don't like the idea of psychic cause it auto clicks as evil, but if you do some reasarch and not be in your little shell you can actually find that some christians who are not possessed do have these powers or gifts. I hate people who are closed mined and don't research stuff! (sorry)
Pokemon is violent: well yes it is PG13 in Japan. The pokemon fight each other, different from dog fights however. Pokemon only fight to make themselves stronger. Sorta like how people fight in Martial Arts!
Too Many Pokemon/addiction.
yes there are many pokemon, but I see it as any other collectable baseball cards coins stamps. ect. there are rare cards and there are common cards. There are currently 386 pokemon 1 of them has 2 of them have 4 forms 1 of them has 28 forms (unown a-z and ! and ?) and a few new Pokemon that have been released. There will be probally 500 Pokemon soon, I am not sure however. That is way less than any major baseball collector...
Pokemon gods: some people believe there are pokemon gods there are currently No pokemon that is considered a "god" in the show There are however Lengendary pokemon which are rare. All pokemon have their own weakness. and is very defeatable.
For all you Catholics: Pope John Paul II Blessed Pokemon and saw nothing wrong with Pokemon and said something on the lines he liked it because it teaches friendship.
