  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was gonna make a simular thread to state my question, but I guess ill add it on to this.
RECENTLY
I was made "heretic" for replying to a thread in non denominal forum (which the name would seem to apply variety in thought and so fourth and was my icon till I was told I can't keep it and no one be offended that I took the messianic icon that because I cannot post here with 'other icon' and that right now the messianics are the ones I identify with most of all the rest even though Im technically not messianic, though I would like to consider myself VERy simular.) If am causing offense, I will change it to something else and hopefully another icon I can legally keep and still post with in this forum.
I was exiled because i conflicted with the NICENE CREED

The thread was a poll which asked "do you believe in the trinity" 14-1 I was the one who said no that I have yet to find CONCLUSIVE evidence affirming that doctrine and so I was exiled from all the congregation subforums save for this. Now many instances say that the minoriety are always right in God, and even though I have done hours of researched and even first revealed myself here via the question; IS GOD NOT ONE SPIRIT WHO IS MANIFEST IN THREE FORMS!? As oposed to three individual spirits which commune into one Godhood and like fuse into one? Someone reaffirm me or show me the truth because I hate this question more than any other because it always leave me with open ends and no real closure. am I right or wrong in saying that "I am YHWH, your ELOHIM, besides me, there is NO OTHER."?
I believe YHWH is rendered into english "I am" In hebrew, is there one word for I am and we are or does 'we are' have it's own term?
Further, If the holy ghost and the father are separate, then when the holy ghost concieved unto mariam, wouldnt yeshua refer to the holy ghost as his father? maybe maybe not i dunno.

What did Yeshua and the original Apostles REALLY teach?

May I suggest that you do a search in this forum for things like "trinity" "divinity" etc - you will find numerous discussions where various opinions have been thoroughly masticated..... ;) For a researcher like yourself you may gleen more from that than any single discussion......

Ive already seen the meat of them. I'm more interested now in the ORIGINAL "Bible" and from the hebraic mind and perspective of which it was writen and aimed at, not the hellenistic or any other views which were rendered inaccurately in translation. I want to know the original and true way and belief.

Now I gotta get up and go into the other room and look up masticate. If anyone ever gets the word mast on my scrabble game I'll have to put icate behind it and then I'll have to use it in a sentence. So much work,so little time

And i would gleefully put in a "d" after your "masticate"

I know that this was probably talked about here before, but I'm wondering: What are everyone's thoughts about it?

Authorship? It's significance among us Messianics? What it actually means?

What say you?

Peace!

I don't care much for any creed.

They are nothing but hot air IMO. I especially do not hold the nicene creed in any high regard, I don't disdain it, but it's not relevant to my life, much less my faith.

In your 'everyday' life?

huh?
People who give authority to the nicene creed are those that give authority to the council of nicae, some 1700' years later I am still fighting those same people, every year I have to take my kid out of school several times and it is in our face everywhere we go,it is a daily activity

Flavius, what is everywhere you go, and a daily activity? Do your children attend a Christian school?

My children go to public school,by definition in Texas, that is christian school, unfortunatly I'm not a christian.

Everyone I deal with on a daily basis are christian,I don't think I'm better than christians,or observant Jews or even muslims but we are all different and we have different cultures. The world I live in is a christian culture that has been greatly formed by rules from the council of Nicae. When I go eat chinese food I always see a little alter there right when you walk in the door,I go in there and pass that alter and have my egg rolls, then they bring me my fortune cookies.I always feel somewhat guilty for eating in a place where I have to walk right pass them alters.I don't like those alters,I feel the same way about crosses.I don't want to start a conversation about crosses but I don't like them either,I would have to say that my costums are the minority where I live.It would be no different if I lived in an area where the public school were ran by muslims. We just have different costums. The council of Nicae passed laws concerning my costums out of hate for the Jews who killed christ committing such a nefarious crime, christians are to have nothing to do with the costums of the Jews, unfortunatly this includes me.I live in the bible belt and everywhere you go people talk about Jesus but I learned a while back that I don't engage in small talk about Jesus anymore cause I always mention Sukkot or Pesach and people look at me like I'm crazy and legalistic comes to mind when they see me after that. When they took the ten commandments out of that courthouse people from all over the world came to protest saying this country I live in was founded by our christian fathers and they fight to keep christianity in our schools and courthouses.I am 100 percent behind seperation of church and state because the founding fathers don't represent my costums. There is no such animal as seperation of church and state,if there was then I wouldn't have keep my kids home several times a year when the schools have their parties.I was extreemly happy about them taking the ten commandments out of that courthouse but the one thing I don't understand is why is it the same people that were protesting the absence of the ten commandments are the same people that call me legalistic?

Amen Flavius, you are the one of the watchman on the wall, watching the insidious actions of those who come in sheep's clothing claiming to be part of the flock of the Lord. Warning, everyone who will listen, that they are deceiving themselves and others.

Mighty warrior in the land of complacancy, compliancy, and commonality.
