We are told that the New Jerusalem will be 1500 by 1500 by 1500 miles. This is the entire Arab continental plate. At first I wondered why would they need 1500 miles top to bottom. But then I realize, this gives them mineral rights, which we expect. This also gives them satellite and airspace which is a very new concept in the last 50 years.

The New Jerusalem is described in Revelation 21:16 as having these incredible dimensions:

> "The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long."

Converting 12,000 stadia into modern measurements gives us approximately 1,500 miles (2,200 kilometers) on each side, making it a massive and perfect cube. This description highlights the grandeur and perfection of the New Jerusalem, symbolizing God's ultimate creation and His eternal dwelling with His people.

The land promised to Abraham and his descendants is often referred to as the Promised Land. According to the Bible, this land encompasses a vast region known as Canaan. Here are some key points:

Biblical References:

  • Genesis 17:8: "And to you and your descendants I will give the land where you are residing—all the land of Canaan—as an eternal possession; and I will be their God."
  • Genesis 15:18: "On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, 'To your descendants I have given this land—from the river of Egypt to the great River Euphrates.'"

The Earth also won't be the same after all those earthquakes and catastrophes during the 7 year tribulation.

There has always been tribulation. If there is a 7 year tribulation then it will be a lot worse. The Bible says one third will survive but there are people who believe only 10% will survive to repopulate the earth. The black plague took out 1/3 of the people. Even it was 100% avoidable if they had followed their Bible.

Revelation 9:18 mentions that a third of mankind will be killed by plagues during the tribulation.

Zechariah 13 8 And in all the land, declares the LORD, two-thirds will be cut off and perish, but a third will be left in it. 9This third I will bring through the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.’”

Why would we expect a new world resembling the old world? Man's merits will have no meaning.
The 1,000 year reign of Christ has to do with government. Then were will have a new Heaven and a new earth. The average age in the kingdom age will be 100 years. We are already up to 80 years now.

Isaiah 65 …19I will rejoice in Jerusalem and take delight in My people. The sounds of weeping and crying will no longer be heard in her. 20No longer will a nursing infant live but a few days, or an old man fail to live out his years. For the youth will die at a hundred years, and he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed. 21They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit

Yes, but not our traditional government, but the Kingdom's governance which is a 180 to our own.
The Bible says Judges and Priests. The idea of a King was actually what the people wanted.

1 Samuel 8:6-7: Samuel was displeased with their request, but God told him, "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king."

Yes but not ruling in the usual human way of self interest but focusing on servitude to each other. Alien concept to todays governments/

Do not give up your day job to be a translator. You can not change "as" to "is". They both have S in them but the A has a LOT different meaning than the I does.

The phrase "as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband" is a vivid metaphor found in Revelation 21:2, where it describes the New Jerusalem. The full verse is:
> "I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband."

Symbolic Meaning:

  • Purity and Beauty: Just as a bride is adorned for her wedding day, the New Jerusalem is depicted as being pure, beautiful, and meticulously prepared, reflecting its holiness and glory.
  • Intimacy and Union: The imagery underscores the intimate relationship between God and His people. The city, as a bride, represents the collective body of believers, who are united with God in a deep, eternal covenant.
  • Joy and Celebration: A wedding is a time of great joy and celebration. This metaphor suggests the joy and fulfillment that will characterize the eternal state of believers in the presence of God.

Biblical Context:

  • Bride of Christ: This metaphor is consistent with other New Testament references to the Church as the "Bride of Christ," highlighting the deep love and commitment Christ has for His followers (e.g., Ephesians 5:25-27).
  • Preparation: The preparation of the bride symbolizes the process of sanctification, where believers are made holy and ready for their union with Christ.
This rich imagery conveys the beauty, holiness, and joy of the future union between God and His people in the New Jerusalem, emphasizing the ultimate fulfillment of God's promises.

I know there always have been tribulations, but I am talking about the 7 year tribulation as described in revelation 6 to revelation 20. This period is also called Daniel 70th week, or Jacob's week of trouble.

This is about Israel, not gentiles. 2 thirds of Jews will be killed, and one third saved.

I have heard that teaching a lot. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with that teaching. In fact I have done the math myself two or three times using Daniel's prophecy.

A statement like that deserves all of this.

How does God message to Israel apply to the church today?

God's messages to Israel often carry profound spiritual principles that can also apply to the Church today. Here's a thoughtful look at how these messages resonate with contemporary Christian communities:

Principles of Faith and Obedience:

  • Covenant Relationship: Just as God established a covenant with Israel, He establishes a covenant with the Church through Jesus Christ. This underscores the importance of faith, obedience, and a personal relationship with God.
  • Promises and Fulfillment: Many promises made to Israel, such as blessings for obedience and consequences for disobedience, mirror the spiritual truths Christians believe apply to their relationship with God.

Refinement and Purification:

  • Trials and Growth: The messages to Israel about going through trials and being refined can be seen as applicable to the Church's spiritual growth. Just as Israel was refined through difficulties, believers are often strengthened in their faith through challenges.
  • Holiness and Purity: God's call to Israel to be holy and set apart reflects the call to the Church to pursue holiness and live according to God's standards.

Community and Mission:

  • Chosen People: While Israel was chosen to be a light to the nations, the Church is called to continue this mission by spreading the gospel and serving as witnesses to God's love and truth.
  • Service and Compassion: The social and ethical teachings given to Israel, such as caring for the poor, the stranger, and the needy, resonate with the Church's mission to serve others and demonstrate compassion.

Eschatological Hope:

  • End Times: Prophecies concerning Israel's future restoration often have parallels in Christian eschatology, where the Church looks forward to the fulfillment of God's promises and the ultimate restoration of creation.

Continuity and Fulfillment:

  • Scriptural Continuity: The New Testament often cites and builds upon the messages given to Israel, showing a continuity in God's plan. For example, the teachings of the prophets are seen as being fulfilled in Christ and extended to the Church.
  • Spiritual Israel: Some theological perspectives view the Church as the "spiritual Israel," inheriting the promises and responsibilities given to ancient Israel.
In essence, the messages to Israel provide a rich source of spiritual lessons, principles, and hopes that continue to inspire and guide the Church today. These messages remind believers of God's faithfulness, call them to live holy lives, and encourage them to trust in His overarching plan.
If you'd like to explore more specific examples or themes, feel free to let me know!

That the meaning of the New Jerusalem above is the Bride of Christ (Rev 21:9), the redeemed church (Eph 5:29-32), is plain to see for all those who do not have an agenda in disagreement with it.
