There was a man walking along,
Singing his happy song.
He did not know what would go wrong,
When he stepped into a pong!

and so, the man was prolonged
by a throng, that wrong
and after that he heard a gong
how long, how long?

Sitting in a chair
He saw a bear
That was eating a pear
While sending off a signal flare.

 

[Surviving]

The signal went up to the sky,
And shone brightly all around.
The bear thought to himself 'Oh my!'
And dropped his pear to the ground.

Christ is in town
Now there's no need to frown
He is wearing a crown
I was once lost , now i'm found

Knowing now who I am
I am surely heaven bound
Jesus is Lord--
He is the Man

The pear fell with a smash
Which don't make sense, I know
But some pears do go crash
When they fall upon ice and snow.

 

[Jehane]

Break it apart, gobble it up,
Let the juices rain down sweeter than wine.

Wine is the ruby cup, bread is the sop;
Blessed is the bread, blessed the cup.

The heavens are rent, the holy place laid bare
Go in my name rembering this.

Don't worry.

What I wanted to try and do was to get people to add about 4 lines at a time to make the longest poem ever. Every time someone adds something though, it does need to link to what was written previously so that it would make sense.

Yeah....I was just about to say that. So far, this poem is about a man, a bear, a pear, and Jesus' love, grace, mercy, and the Last Supper. We need to pick ONE topic to add on to so this poem makes sense.
