  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I cannot wait to see this movie. The music and trailers are beautiful and I think it's a very thought-provoking view on the Christmas story we all know. I'm singing "Breath of Heaven" in my church's Christmas show next month and everytime I rehearse that song I think of this movie. Can't wait to see it. :)

I guess I've just become skeptical of 'Christian' movies to come out of Hollywood. I'll reserve an opinion until after I've seen it.
I suppose you can always roll your eyes and say 'I knew it ...!', if you end up disliking the film. ;)

I think it will be an interesting new twist to how we look at the story. There isn't much about it other than an angel came to Mary, an angel came to Joseph, they had a baby in a stable. This should be some good filler as to what *might* have happened durring all that.

But as the above stated, I hope Hollywood doesn't screw it up.

But the thing is, who cares?

I just watched the trailer tonight and I am looking forward to seeing it. It definately beats the current selection of movies that are currently out in theaters.

Yeah right.

Babel, Stranger Than Fiction, Borat, Casino Royale, The Departed, The Prestige, and even Flags Of Our Fathers are all much better movies.

Uhm, lets see. People who are interested in Bible stories, people who are insterested in history, people who are interested in theology, people who are interested in possibility, people interested in watching something based on a true story... should I continue?
